At the time, it was unknown what this type of coffee was and how it differed from regular Joe's. There are several different stories about how tactical coffee got its name. One story goes that one of the founders of Pacifica, Dan Potter, saw a movie called " Tactical." After watching the film, he decided to start a new restaurant called "The Black Hole" because all their cups were black and blue from the movie. This story may have started with some marketing efforts by Potter himself or maybe someone at his restaurant imported some Turkish Tactical Coffee (TECO) which he named after the movie's lead character. Another story says that one day while walking through town, Dan noticed some people drinking Tactical Coffee from small cups. He decided to give it a try and discovered that it really did make a difference when you needed to carry your caffeine over long distances! So, he started selling his own version of tactical coffee direct to consumers? Perhaps someone at McCann Erickson saw this article about TECO and decided to trademarked the term "Pacifica Coffee"?! Whatever happened, Dan Potter's original design for his cups had military-themed graphics and they became known as "The Black Hole Cups." TECO eventually trademarked the term "pacifica coffee" so there is no clear origin story for this unique style of coffee. Regardless of where it began, however, The Black Hole Cup continues to be popular throughout Northern California today!

Pacifica is a city located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. It is bordered by Fremont to the north, Hayward to the east, Oakland to the south and west, and Berkeley to the northwest. As of July 1, 2011, it had a population of 671,362. The city was founded on August 29th, 1946 as an agricultural community known as Pacifica Ranch by ranch hands who were looking for a new home after moving from nearby Marin County. The name "Pacifica" was chosen because it would not be heard any other way in the area and because there wasn't anything else with that name in existence at that time. In 1949, Pacifica became an incorporated municipality with a population of just under 50 people. The first mayor was Leland Yeoman and the current Mayor is Darrell Steinberg. When its founders started out, they didn't know what they were doing when they decided to move into a place like this - they only knew that they wanted to create someplace where people could come together and have their own voice without being overshadowed or silenced by other towns or cities in surrounding counties. And so it has been through all these years - ever since Pacifica Ranch first came into being - that the city has slowly but surely become one of Northern California's most influential communities. One reason why Pacifca has held such sway is due largely to its natural beauty: its location within close proximity to nature itself – right next door to Point Reyes National seashore – makes for excellent bird-watching opportunities; Likewise, its rich cultural history (thanks in part to institutions like Cal State East Bay) makes it easy for visitors from around the world who wantto learn more about local history and culture while exploring downtown Pacifca – which features buildings dating back over 100 years! There is a long and varied history of coffee, dating back to at least 3000 BC. Coffee seeds were first grown in the Middle East and Africa, where it was used as an additive to make tea. In the 4th century AD, Arab traders brought coffee plants back to Europe and began trading it with Arabs and Muslims. By the 12th century, coffee had spread throughout the Islamic world. In 1246, Ibn Battuta visited India and saw that coffee was being brewed there in great quantities. He reported that “the people of Kannauj drink huge cups of black chicory (Coffee Bean) water mixed with milk”. The Indians soon became renowned for their excellent beans, which they roasted themselves on large fires before selling abroad. In 1492, Christopher Columbus discovered America while sailing through the Caribbean Sea on his flagship Santa Maria de la Cruz. Upon landing on shore he spotted some strange looking trees growing near a river he named Pinta after one of his shipswrecked crew members who had found food thereabouts. After ashore exploring some more he noticed another tree emitting a peculiar fragrance and decided to name this new place “Isla del Rojo” (The Red Island). This naming may have been inspired by Portuguese sailors sightseeing along the same coast who remarking on how red-colored everything looked turned out to be red sugarcane! The first recorded taste of espresso came from Giovanni Bianco in 1512 when he served it to Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci during his voyage around South America! During World War II Coffee consumption increased due to shortages caused by war raging across many continents; however production greatly decreased because wages dropped correspondingly due to technological advancements such as jet aircrafts making shipping much easier and cheaper carrying goods over wide areas! However despite this decrease production still increased overall due in part because of advances inagricultural technology which has led not only to more efficient use but also less reliance on fossil fuels for grinding beans into flour etc…. during recent decades coffee has enjoyed significant resurgence all over the world mainly thanks its increasing popularity within social media platforms such as Instagram (#coffeeplease) where users share their favourite cafes & roasts they've tried recently🍹

In 1795, a café called La Crique opened in Paris that served coffee from three different roasters at three different prices: 2 livres (about $0.50) for a small cup, 4 livres (about $2.00) for a medium cup, and 8 Livres (about $6.00) for a large cup.
The long history of Pacifica, California can be traced back to the early 1800s when the area was a part of Mexico. The first European to visit the region was Francisco de Elizalde y Costilla who explored and mapped the area in 1769. It wasn't until 1821 that Captain James Cook discovered and named Tahiti after his ship, HMS Resolution. It wasn't until 1846 that a group of Californios led by José Joaquin Murillo founded what would become Pacifica. In 1850, Mexican land grants were given to those who had fought in the Mexican-American War and these lands became known as Ranchos De La Raza. For many years, these properties remained undeveloped and were used for grazing and farming purposes. In 1907, Pacifica Avenue was laid out from San Bruno to Price Streets with a single storey building on each side. At this time, it was one of only a few towns in California with an official name other than San Francisco or Sacramento. In 1916,$,500 was appropriated by state legislators to build a school system inPacifica which would eventually include sixteen schools. The school district opened its doors on September 1st, 1917 with students from grades pre-K through 12th grade living on campus at 16th Street and Mission Avenue East near downtown Pacifica before moving into new buildings at 32nd Street and Atherton Road in 1922. On February 11th, 1942 Valley View Elementary School (now Vallejo Middle School) caught fire due to faulty wiring within the school's electrical system; both classrooms went up in flames leaving over seventy children inside unharmed as firefighters battled against huge flames that raged throughout the building for nearly two hoursophyPFSNEARLY TWO HOURS BEFORE THE SCHOOL BEGAN TO FLAMES
