The first mention of fresh roasted coffee was in 1795 when Giovanni Boccaccio wrote about how he used to drink two cups of this type of coffee each morning before going to work. The first time someone else mentioned fresh roasted coffee was in 1847 when American printer and author Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about his travels through Europe and Asia and noticed how different languages were speaking about "fresh" coffees from Africa, Australia, and America. At the beginning of the 20th century, roast masters started travelling more often to exotic locations such as Indonesia and Africa to find new bean varieties and improve their roast quality for export back home. As technology improved and more people became interested in food trends, they began using photoelectric cells instead of traditional smudging techniques to determine when the bean had reached its perfect doneness - this allowed for thinner pieces with less flavor variation during roasting than previous methods which led to stronger flavors throughout the cup. By 1961, all major roast houses had adopted photoelectric cells within their machines which gave them an advantage over those using smudging techniques because it ceased allowing for subtle variations during roasting like happened earlier with smudging techniques which resulted in stronger flavors throughout the cup due to differences in heat exposure time between beans). In 1992 Starbucks introduced their own brand of freshly roasted coffee called Maxwell House which was designed as a tribute both to early Starbucks founders Howard Schultz (originally from Philadelphia) who ran their original café now located inside One Madison Park on Nob Hill in San Francisco where Maxwell House originated as well as ToeJam & Earl's founder Eddie Murphy who once visited Starbucks while on vacation at one point!

In 1887, Palos Verdes Estates was first proposed as a city by developer A.B. French and it was voted on in a referendum in March of that year. The city was created from parts of Glendale and Westwood, with its first mayor being James Prentice. The city experienced growth due to the presence of new businesses and homes located near the newly developed Interstate 5 freeway. In 1971, Palos Verdes Estates became an incorporated town when portions of Glendale were annexed into the city limits. Today, Palos Verdes Estates is one of Los Angeles County's most affluent communities with over 6,500 residents living in areas such as North Park at La Jolla Cove and Hyde Park on Long Beach Boulevard. It is also home to several popular tourist attractions including Hollywood Bowl, Disneyland Resort, and beaches like Corona del Mar and Pacific Grove
The Palos Verdes Estates area in California was first settled by the Ohlone people in the late 18th century. The area now includes parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties. In 1891, a group of settlers led by H. C. Beaumont purchased 3,500 acres (1,500 ha) of land on the Palos Verdes Peninsula from indigenous people for $2 per acre ($0.50 per sq km). This purchase opened up what is now central and southern California to white settlement. In 1912, Congress passed the Lands Act which gave public land east of the San Andreas Fault to individuals and municipalities who would develop it into townships or villages.
