The USS Constitution was a United States Navy ship that served in the American Revolution. She was launched on July 26, 1797, and commissioned into service on September 3rd of that year. The Constitution had been designed by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and built at the Boston Navy Yard. She was the first ship of her type to serve in the navy. The Constitution sailed for America from England on October 10th, 1798, and arrived in San Francisco Bay on October 15th. On November 6th, she sailed for Monterey Peninsula where she anchored for five days before disembarking her passengers and crew to take possession of Fort Monterey. On November 9th, she sailed back up the coast to Vallejo where she arrived December 2nd. On January 12th, 1800, the Constitution sailed downriver to Petaluma Cove where she anchored for two weeks while supplies were unloaded. January 18th saw her departure again as she returned upriver to Vallejo. February 1st saw her anchor off Tubbs Point before sailing downriver once again to get supplies embarked for Monterey Peninsula. March 4th saw her come ashore at Monterey after a six day passage upriver from Astoria Ferry Landing; this event is also notable because it marked the first time that a U.S warship had ever landed in California during its original occupation of that state by Spain (it had previously landed troops at Alcatraz). From there, March 7-9th saw her moored off Carquinez Strait between California and Mexico until Vice Admiral John Roebuck ordered her back out onto open water on March 11st so that he could conduct experiments with cannon fire against Spanish ships engaged in convoy security operations near Buena Vista Harbor north of San Diego Bay

Petaluma is a town in Marin County, California, United States. The population was 25,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1846, prospector John Sutter established what would become Petaluma on land he had purchased from the Native Americans under the name of "Eve." The town was first laid out as a village on May 5, 1851 by Capt. George Waddell and Lt. David Dixon. On July 7, 1854, Petaluma became an incorporated city with a limit of 20 residents. The City Council decided to change its name to Petaluma after petals of the chrysanthemums that grew in front of City Hall during its early years (now known as "Peta Park"). In 1865, Mayor John Atherton appointed contractor J.D.'Bennett as surveyor for all new towns within county boundaries and directed Bennett to begin surveys for Petaluma proper; however his efforts were frustrated by Colonel William Richardson who refused to allow outside development within his own Rancho Santa Susana Mexican land grant north of Sonoma Creek (the present-day downtown). Richardson instead promoted the building of Connecting Road which linked up sections now located in El Sobrante and Novato neighborhoods east of Highway 101 between 1850 and 1860 while also developing additional lands west of I-5 between 1860 and 1870 including what are now Watsonville and Menlo Park "A Model Town," published in 1881 by Julius Schwab described how it was then Progress Avenue ran from Main Street northwest to Seventh Street southeast through today's downtown area: "There is but one road leading into this place -progress avenue [now Veterans Memorial Drive]." Today's Polk Street forms one end while Mission Boulevard continues northeast down Broadway past Arden Glen Elementary School before terminating at Foster Road near Interstate 280/SR 620 southbound traffic only entering via Foster Road from misdemeanor access points along Polk Street eastward into downtown Petaluma - thus continuing an older pattern where streets terminate at busy intersections adjacent to commercial districts rather than heads west towards residential areas or Interstate highways
The United States Navy has a long and rich history of giving gifts. The earliest gift from the navy to the people of America was the cannon that was given to Fort Caroline in 1795 by Rear Admiral John Sloat. The first ship in the navy, USS Constitution, was launched on July 4th, 1801. In 1802, Commodore James Cook sent a steamship called HMS Beagle to explore Antarctica and return with evidence that there were fertile landmass beyond Terra Australis. The British Admiralty gave the ship to Captain David Barron as a gift and also allowed him to trade goods with Aboriginal peoples living on New Zealand. In 1863, Commodore Matthew Perry sailed into Japan in an unsuccessful attempt to open up trade with its government. He left behind a valuable cargo of silver dollars which he donated to the United States Navy as part of his campaign for independence from Great Britain. On December 7th 1942, during World War II, USS Enterprise sailed into Tokyo Bay after months of sailing through dangerous waters in order to bring food and supplies back home for Allied troops fighting in Europe. When Japanese forces were aboutto bomb Pearl Harbor she came into action and boarded her attackers herself killing more than 100 Japanese sailors including Emperor Hirohito himself!
