The Coast Guard in Placentia, California has been providing support to the local community since 1933. The Coast Guard was founded as a way for citizens to help keep their community safe and secure. In 1933, the Coast Guard Station in Placentia was established to provide support to the local community. The station was used for law enforcement, marine patrol, and banding together with other agencies to keep the area safe. In 1957, the station was renamed Headquarters and moved to its current location in 1987. Throughout its history, Headquarters has played an important role in supporting the local community by providing a variety of services such as training and education opportunities for career members of the Coast Guard. Today, Headquarters is home to three detachments; Patrol Squadron One (PSone), Search and Rescue Squadron Two (SARS2), Helicopter Landing Squadron One (HLS1) which provides helicopter services for search and rescue missions;and Fighter squadron Four (FOUR). HLS1 also provides service through two boats- one called “Prairie” and another called “Meadow Lake”. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is also headquartered here with their own detachment located at headquarters. Additionally there are six shelters located throughout town that can be used during disasters or emergencies. These shelters include four storage sheds that are used as temporary housing during events or weather conditions;two recreation areas;a kitchen/dining hall;a library/council room;and a meeting area/ barracks where members can congregate before or after operations. Throughout its history Headquarters have hosted many functions such as dances and receptions honoring members of the Coast Guard who have given their time away for our country including Governors Jerry Brown of California (1995-1998), Pete Wilson of California (2000-2002), Arnold Schwarzenegger of California (2003-2005), John Edwards of North Carolina (2007-2009), Reince Priebus of Wisconsin (2011-2013), Nancy Pelosi from Maryland(2015-) along with many more mayors, governors, senators and Presidential candidates over the years! In addition to hosting functions it has also been used as a training ground for future officers member joining up with Headquarters 1st District which includes parts of Santa Barbara County including Carlsbad Caverns National Park which is home to Placentia Harbor Light House siting on Point Loma Boulevard just north of town on Highway 101 near San Luis Obispo Naval Air Station

The Placentia Coast Guard Auxiliary was founded on December 8, 1923 by Capt. Harry L. Pennington and First Lt. George W. Benson as the Placentia Marine Detachment of the California State Patrol. The detachment was relocated to its current location on Belle Isle in October 1942 and became part of the California Department of Public Safety when it was created. In 1934, the detachment became a Coast Guard unit and continued to serve as such until July 1954 when it absorbed the portion of the Calabasas County Sheriff's Department that also served as a Coast Guard detachment. On July 1, 1954, Captain James Evers purchased land adjacent to Belle Isle and dedicated it as Point Conception Station which would become home to both the Placentia Coast Guard Auxiliary and Calabasas County Sheriff's Department while also serving as headquarters for both agencies until 1979 when they were consolidated into one department under Captain William Pritchett’s leadership. From 1978-1989, Headquarters Annex housed county jail inmates while their cases were processed at Point Conception Station before being transferred back to Calabasas County Jail where they remained until 2003 when they were moved again - this time to Menifee Correctional Facility where they remain today. In November 2006, Captains Don Sheppard (2006-2007) and Rick Kessler (2008-2009) assumed command of Placentia Coast Guard Auxiliary after Captains John Gorman (2007-2008), Tim O'Malley (2008-2009) and Rick Kessler resigned due to health issues
Placentia is a small town located in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hanford–Tablero–Reed City, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Placentia was first settled by Native Americans in the late 18th century. A post office called Placentia dates back to 1864. The name "Placentia" was given by Captain John Sutter on July 26, 1847 when he and his band of followers camped near what is now the town limits of Placentia. In 1872, a group of Mormon settlers from Utah arrived in Placentia and began building a log cabin on what is now Main Street. By 1880, there were about 20 Latter-day Saints living in Placentia. In 1890, after years of planning and fundraising by local citizens and church officials, construction began on the first LDS temple in California – Church Hall (now Bishop's Palace). The temple became operational in 1893 and served as a meeting place for local officials until 1906 when it was torn down to make way for new development. In 1907 New York City native Augustus Saint Paul organized an agricultural fair at which he exhibited various fruits and vegetables from his farmstead near present-day downtown Los Angeles; this event later became known as the Staple Valley Agricultural Show. On October 14th 1907 Governor Fielding Smith signed legislation creating Inyo County; that same year Church Hall become county seat with plenary session held there on November 3rdth 1907 under Governor Smith's jurisdiction over all counties within California except San Francisco Bay Area where Orange County had been established previously that day pursuant to state law providing for such establishment. The growth of Irwindale during prohibition era caused problems for leadership at LDS Temple who desired to keep their property separate from liquor stores while still serving worshipers attending afternoon services therein; however due to high demand they decided against closing but instead leased out space inside Temple proper through 1924 and continued doing so until 1951 when they sold all remaining property outside Temple premises including land bordering Hollywood Boulevard southward to Universal Studios Park effective January 1st 1951 thereby allowing those buildings/land into official city control following incorporation into Anaheim resultant annexation by Anaheim four months later becoming one city with its own government On February 11 2018 it was announced by Mayor Menchaca that between $130 million dollar package will be put together which include: plans for renovation or replacement of two major roads east side of town center - Sunrise Drive & Rialto Avenue - with upgrades costing more than $200 million dollars project also includes improvements or expansion to north side streets witch totals 5 acres including 2 millenium old Missionary Ridge Road across street from Unity Chapel road also included project would improve water Utility line running through town Center which has been long awaited improvement along Sunrise Drive currently affects water usage meters around Main Street intersection

The Coast Guard has played a critical role in this tradition, first as an auxiliary force to law enforcement and then as a national institution. The Coast Guard has also become an important socialservice provider, providing assistance to those in need during times of emergency. The Coast Guard was formed on December 15, 1941 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 which created the United States Coast Guard. At its inception, the Coast Guard had only six officers and 100 enlisted men. On January 1, 1942, the Coast Guardsmen were given their own uniforms and insignias which they would wear until May 21, 1972 when they received their current white uniforms with blue shoulder stripes. Since its inception, the Coast Guard has undergone numerous changes both in staffing and operations. In 1951-1952, there were only 54 enlisted men for every officer; however by 1968-1969 there were over 400 officers and men working for the service! In addition to its core missions of maritime security and public safety, the Coast Guard is also responsible for disaster relief efforts including Search And Rescue (SAR), search & rescue mission reports (SARMRs), pollution control patrols along our coastline (EPA's National Pollutant Standards), icebreaking services (UCLASS) and many more tasks!

Placentia, California is a small town located in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2000 census. It lies on the edge of the Mojave Desert and is about an hour's drive from downtown Los Angeles. The first Europeans to visit Placentia were Spanish Franciscan missionaries who landed there in 1769. The mission was abandoned in 1821 and never rebuilt. A post office called Placentia was established in 1857 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1912. In 1892, prospectors discovered gold near Placentia and beganmining for gold here. By 1901, over 10% of the total value of all gold found in Inyo County had been unearthed at Placentia-by-the-Sea Gold Mines. The discovery led to a rapid growth of mining activity here as well as prompted many entrepreneurs to set up businesses here including Grocery Outlet Company (1901), J. B.. Waddell Paper Plant (1911), Hacienda de la Hueste (1920), and finally Southern Pacific Railroad Number 5 Mine & Mill (1927). placer mining continued through World War II but production declined due to anti-gold sentiment throughout much of America during that time period; however some mines still operate today such as the Justus Nickel Mine (#5) which opened in 1984
The town of Placentia was founded in 1853 by father and son, Jacob and George Placentia. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Carquinez Strait, which made it a shipping center for goods heading eastward from Alameda County. In 1875, the town became a city.
