Placerville's first coffee shop was opened in 1915. The first espresso machine was bought by Angelo Donahue, who used it at his cafe, La Boulange de France. Donahue started roasting beans himself and selling them direct to the public. In 1928, Harry Crouch opened the first grocery store in Placerville and began stocking coffee products. In 1951, the town of Placerville incorporated as a city and established its own water system. The city council decided to begin exporting coffee from its plant to other cities in California and also purchased a small share of the Hearst Corporation's illicit coffee business. By 1960, Placerville had become one of the largest coffee-producing towns in Northern California. The early years of modern electronic media were marked by an increased demand for quality espresso beans from cafes throughout North America. In 1984, Bob Peake founded Bob's Coffee Company on State Street in downtown Placerville after purchasing a smalleworks manufacturing business from Donahue. At that time, only about 10% of all beans sold were for espresso alone; most beans were either ground or shot for various Malik & Sons blends (a blend of Spanish Roasted Arabica beans). Placerville, California is a small city located in Contra Costa County, California. The population was 24,026 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Contra Costa County. The first European to visit what is now Placerville was Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo on October 15, 1769. He and his crew were exploring San Francisco Bay when they came ashore at Rock Point on November 2. On November 4, he landed his ship La Paz on shore near what is now Placerville. There he built a cabin and named it after himself - Placerville Station. From here he made various explorations up and down the coast of California until his return home in 1774 aboard the Manila galleon HMS Beagle with Alonso de Alvarado as its captain. On May 25, 1846, pioneer Hyrum Emerson organized a group of men who would emigrate to California from New England by way of the Transcontinental Railroad. The group traveled across America by wagon train before finally reaching Sacramento in September 1850 and starting their journey eastward again; but due to bad weather they arrived too late for claim land at Oroville (now part of Richmond) which had been reserved for them by Governor John Goodwin Johnson; instead they began building their own settlements around Freemont Street along the riverbank opposite Fort Mason (later known as Mission Chinese Hill). By 1853 about eighty families lived there including ten white men under the leadership of Captain Hiram Sutter who also founded Stockton. In 1861 Drury College moved from Danbury Connecticut to Claremont Massachusetts because it became clear that Pomona College had no intention of admitting women as students so Pomona renamed themselves Claremont Normal School then Claremont University in 1865 when women were finally admitted into all colleges and universities throughout Southern California. On July 16, 1867 Chico State Teachers College opened its doors with classes beginning on August 9th followed soon afterwards by Dominguez Hills Teachers College opening on December 1st also sharing classes with Chico State Teachers College until both schools were closed together in 1872 due to budget cuts necessitated by statehood within the United States although Dominguez Hills still offers degree programs today through its associates program with Polytechnic University Los Angeles One reason why Placerville prospered during this time period may be attributed to its location: just outside San Francisco's Golden Gate bridge area where many merchants did business while other towns such as Concord could only offer services like grocery shopping or banking . Today much of what once made up downtown Placerville has been replaced by high-end housing developments such as Crestline Village which overlooks Interstate 680 across from Livermore Valley Airport while smaller businesses have relocated away from downtown onto newer streetscape including Elmwood Avenue between I-680 & First Street . For four decades since incorporation in 1870 there have been few major changes to downtown except for an increase in housing prices that continue even today despite steady job growth thanks especially to Napa wine production dating back over 1000 years Downtown residents continue enjoy excellent public transportation options including BART and Muni Metro which are accessible via nearby Embarcadero subway stations

Placerville, California is a city located in the Central Valley of California. The population was 20,828 at the 2010 census. Its name comes from the Spanish word "plaza," meaning "square." The area that is now Placerville was first settled by Rancho San Joaquin Indians in 1848. In 1853, placer gold coins were discovered in the area and this led to increased settlement and development of Placerville. The first post office was established in Placerville on December 12, 1854. By 1860, there were over 100 residents living in and around Placerville. In 1861, a water system was built to bring water from the Nevada River to town. This allowed for more growth and development within town limits as people began to use it for their own needs instead of waiting for southern company who delivered water deliveries directly to their homes. In 1870, railroad construction began through central California and soon after Placerville became connected with Sacramento by rail. This allowed for greater commerce and trade within town as well as travel between different parts of California. As time went on, larger businesses came into existence such as a flour mill which opened up in 1912 and eventually became part of Unocal Corporation (now Chevron). With rapid growth throughout early 21st century Placerville experienced an influx of new residents including many students who attend UC Berkeley or UC Riverside University campuses near downtown Placerville making it one of the most vibrant areas in all of central California!
