The Coast Guard currently operates out of three stations in Pleasant Hill: Headquarters at 301 N Main St, which is home to the Captain and First Class Officers; Sectorization Center at 2100 W Orchard Rd; and a Station at 11th Ave and Blossom Road which provides services to homes along 11th Avenue south of Interstate 5.
Pleasant Hill is a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California, located about 30 miles east of Fresno. The population was 9,411 at the 2010 census. Pleasant Hill is part of the Fresno-Hanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white person to live in what is now Pleasant Hill was Manuel Martinez who settled near modern day Dixon and founded a mission in 1795. In 1821, John Sutter established an agricultural settlement on the site of present day Sutterville because he believed that it would be easier to find water resources for his new colony than elsewhere in California. By 1846, the town had become known as Hillsborough after General George Armstrong Custer's regiment which camped there during their campaign against Mexico. Pleasant Hill was incorporated as a village on July 14, 1909. On November 15, 1924 it became a city when it annexed parts of Hanford City. The population reached 11,000 by 1960 but declined to 9,411 by 2010 due largely to commuting into Fresno and other nearby cities and towns. However, recent growth has been spurred by both residential development around the city center and business interests within its limits including several high tech companies and medical equipment manufacturers

Pleasant Hill is a small town in Alameda County, California. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of Oakland, about 20 miles northeast of San Francisco. From 1853 to 1960, it was part of the then-new City ofOakland. Pleasant Hill is home to many large and small businesses and has a rich history that dates back more than 100 years. The first settlers in what is today Pleasant Hill were farmers who arrived in 1853 from Fairfield Township, New Jersey. They named their new village after Mount Pleasant, an old Indian name for "the place where I will plant my corn." In 1860, when Oakland was founded as a city, portions of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties were annexed into Oakland; including Pleasant Hill. The residents of Pleasant Hill voted to join the city on December 12, 1960. After 50 years as a separate community within Oakland's boundaries, the town became part of the newly formed Bay Area Regional District on January 1st 1996; an agency which includes all unincorporated areas within Alameda County north of Interstate 5 and east of Highway 880
