The shop that sold the coffee was named Dutch Bros. and it was located on Commercial Street. In 1923, Dutch Bros. merged with Roastery & Coffee Co., which became Roastery & Coffee Co., Inc. In 1951, Roastery & Coffee Co.,Inc.'s parent company bought Dutch Bros. For many years, Roastery & Coffee Company operated out of a small building on Third Street called the Dutch Bros. Annex. Finally, in 1984, they moved to their current location at 21st and Snapdragon Streets in Port Hueneme and changed their name to ROCA Coffee Company Incorporated (ROCA). In addition to selling coffee beans and ground coffee products, Roca also served as a roaster and retailer of whole bean coffees from around the world including Africa, Asia Pacific, Australia/New Zealand and Europe. They also made available various subscriptions such as monthly or yearly shipments of whole beans for those who wanted more than one cup of coffee each month or year-round access to different types of mulberry roasts from around the world! Today Roca is still a familyowned business with three generations running it - Lisa (the original owner), Rick (the current owner) and John (another son). Rick has been Executive Vice President of Operations since 2006; he oversees all aspects of production from roast blends to packaging needs including distribution into both retail locations and ecommerce stores across North America. Lisa continues to serve as President/CEO Officer responsible for day-to-day operations while Rick manages marketing/distribution functions downstairs at our headquarters where we have state-of-the art equipment that allows us to produce beautiful cups of espresso every day!

Port Hueneme, California is a city located in Ventura County, California. It is the county seat of Ventura County and was incorporated on January 25, 1877. The population was 86,594 at the 2010 census. The area now known as Port Hueneme was first occupied by the Tongva people and their allies during the 17th century. In 1821, Mexico acquired jurisdiction over Santa Barbara County and moved its capital to Monterey. On November 12, 1846, Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna surrendered Monterey to American forces after a seven-year war which commenced with his unsuccessful attempt to retake Mexicali from Americans under Ulysses S. Grant. The city of Ventura became Californian’s 3rd largest city on November 9, 1888 when it amalgamated with neighboring towns of Camarillo and Simi Valley. Port Hueneme was founded by Captain John Cushing in 1865 as an inland port for goods being shipped up from San Pedro Bay in Southern California via Point Mugu on the Peninsula evening ferry service operated bythe same company that later became known as Pacific Coast Line Railroad (PCL). At first employed primarily for storage of goods awaiting shipment downriver from Missions Bayou near present day Westwood Village and northward onto Point Mugu Boulevard in downtown Ventura County (now part of Downtown Ventura), PHL quickly grew into one of most important commercial waterways within modern day America with an annual trade volume totaling $1 million in 1889! The business community soon developed around PHL’s wharf facilities including a wool store operated by J.B.. Strouse & Co., mercantile warehouses built by Wm Hutton & Sons hardware stores adjacent to railroad tracks leading south out of town across Donahue Strait until they were replaced in 1914 by the current Navy Yard buildings adjacent to Highway 101 just east of downtown! Port Hueneme is a small town in Ventura County, California. It was founded on May 12, 1875 by Francisco and Isabel Peralta. The original population of the town was only seventy-five people. In 1902, the Port Hueneme Light Company was founded and began operating a lighthouse. The company continued to operate the lighthouse until 1984 when it was replaced by the present light station. The first post office in port hueneme was established on December 3, 1876. The first store in port hueneme opened on October 13, 1889. Today, there are several businesses located in port hueneme including a bank, an auto dealership, groceries and hardware stores as well as a few restaurants and cafes. One of the most popular activities in town is fishing which takes place throughout the year at various local rivers or lakes. There are also numerous golf tournaments that take place throughout the year at different courses located around town. In 1998, port hueneme became part of California's largest city designation program which increased economic opportunities for its citizens and businesses alike by creating new business districts within larger cities with similar populations (eastern San Fernando Valley through downtown Los Angeles). As part of this program, all public agencies within those districts were given specific branding and marketing strategies - from streetscapes to building materials - designed to attract new businesses to their neighborhoods and drive job growth within their respective zones. Today, Port Hueneme remains an agricultural community with significant retail presence; however many of its residents commute into nearby cities for work or entertainment purposes (Burbank has become home to major league baseball games since 2000). The first permanent settlement in Port Hueneme was made by José Manuel Nieto on November 25, 1818. He and his wife, María Inés de la Cruz, founded the town of San Miguel del Rey about two miles south of present-day Hueneme. The town was named for St. Miguel, a patron saint of Spain who had death as his only punishment. Nieto's family were originally from Santa Fe de Bogotá, Colombia. They arrived in California in 1821 and soon began trading with Native Americans along the coast. The town developed slowly until 1833 when the U.S. government granted it a Donation Land Claim to help promote American colonization of California. In 1840, Mexican nationals organized a revolt against Spanish rule in Sonoma County and joined forces with American settlers to fight against Mexican troops under General Antonio López de Santa Anna. When Mexico collapsed in 1848 following Francisco extension of slavery into California, Sonoma County became part of the United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo; San Miguel del Rey retained its status as a post office but no incorporated municipality existed until 1862 when it changed its name toHueneme after Don José Hueneme y Arce
