Red Bluff is a small town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is the seat of San Bernardino County and lies at an elevation of 5,322 feet (1,697 m). In 1907 Colonel Edward Hutton donated a model farm located east of town which became home to Fort Irwin National Military Park within 10 years. In 1971 Major General Royce Lamberton gifted three acres (0.8 km²) of land near Red Bluff for use as an Officers' Club by then Lieutenant Colonel William Murchison who had served in Vietnam and later been commandant at Rangoon Army Air Field where he helped develop jet technology during the 1970s and 1980s In 1984 Sergeant First Class Kenneth Epps gave $5,000 towards construction of Lakeside Memorial Hospital which opened its doors on October 24th 1986; it was one of only two hospitals in Southern California open through inauguration day – making it one of America's first statewide medical tourism services . On December 11th 2009 two groups - US Marines 3rd Battalion/7th Marine Regiment and RAF Squadron 136 - made an unannounced visit to Fort Irwin National Military Park while part of their Malaya Command tour commemorating 50 years since Operation Neptune's Spear which saw British troops invaded Malaya during World War II

Red Bluff, California is a town in Humboldt County, California, United States. The population was 6,853 at the 2010 census. It is located on the banks of the Humboldt River. Red Bluff is an oasis of beauty and tranquility within the hustle-bustle of Northern California's most populous city. The name "Red Bluff" originated from its location along the river: red earth that was easy to find and harvested by Native Americans for their food and pottery; bluffs that were high enough to provide cover from raiding parties; and nearby Rancho Negro land which had been claimed by Spain but later sold to America as part of Rancho San Francisco de la Loma grant. The first white person to live in what is now Red Bluff was George Fenton who arrived in 1847 with his family after traveling through Oregon and Nevada. In 1851, Fenton founded the town on land he acquired from rancho owner Manuel Nieto. After years of development, including several mills built by Fenton himself (including a large brick mill built on present day First Street), Red Bluff reached its present size when it incorporated as a town in 1907. These newcomers brought their agricultural skills along with them making planting fields along riversides an important task given prevailing winds which determine crop yields; also essential were irrigation systems provided by nearby ranches.(7) By 1849 there were 10 households residing at La Venta with 30% being rented out while 50% owned homes.(8) By 1860 only 5 families remained living at La Venta with 80% rental properties)(9)...By 1870 about 90% rental dwellings had been erected...Most people worked either farming or ranching activities.(10)...In 1900 there were 350 residents listed alphabetically inside La venta[11]....Many early pioneers married local women although some did marry Californian men... Mostly male Anglo settlers married female Californians who managed these homesteads until they inherited them upon death... current resident wives still have significant influence today over many aspectsof life outside their communities."
