The population of Redlands was reported to be 197,060 as of 2014. The first coffee Roasters were opened up by pioneers such as Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Harry Anderson in 1925. The first coffee shop opened its doors to the public on October 15th of that year at 8am local time, named "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf". In 1946, Don Champion opened his own small roastery and cafe called Don's Coffee House which was about two blocks from where today's Starbucks stands. In 1961, Don Champion passed away but left behind a legacy of coffee Roasting excellence that still thrives today. In 1975, Jack White opened White's Coffee Shop on Glenwood Avenue which became one of the most popular coffee shops in town. Over time many other businesses have joined White's including Starbucks who purchased it in 2000. The success that Starbucks had with their coffee beans led them to open their own roastery and cafes all across the United States over the next few years creating what we know as modern day tactical coffee history!

Redlands, California is a city located in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 32,711 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of San Bernardino County. The first Europeans to visit Redlands were Spanish Franciscans who established a mission in 1769. In 1824, Redlands became part of Rancho Cahuilla Mexican land grant given to José Monterey and his brother Ramón by Governor Manuel Nieto of Mexico City. From 1851 until 1860 it was part of Alta California under the jurisdiction of Yuma County; then from 1860 until 1876 it was within Tuolumne County. In 1912 Redlands became an incorporated town when it annexed portions of Claremont and Ontario townships from Tuolumne County. The incorporation ordinance stated that “the purpose for which this town has been organized is to provide an excellent market for groceries and other farm products” Claremont/Ontariotownships are now cities as well: Claremont (2008) and Ontario (2011). On November 2, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued Executive Order No. 9394 which designated Redlands as the site for a new Army Air Corps Flying Training School known as "Eagle Rock". A second school opened on December 15th at Beaumont Army Airfield east of town; both schools closed with World War II ended on September 2nd 1945 after having trained more than 50,000 pilots from all over America! The original Eagle Rock flying field remains today a popular tourist attraction used by students in aerial maneuvers during learning air traffic control techniques! During World War II there also developed a large munitions manufacturing industry in nearby Riverside while much smaller but important military aircraft production took place at Beaumont Army Airfield across the street from Eagle Rock Airport. After the war ended many factories went out OF BUSINESS due to lack of post-war demand however nuclear weapons production did continue at various sites throughout Northern California through most of the Cold War! Many people have misconceptions about what happened during those years - don't let them!. Nuclear testing occurred near ground zero near Riverside Stadium where plutonium was created
