This bill also established a commission that would oversee all aspects of philanthropy within both localities and states within America’s military services including Unit 3526 disaster relief fund act - this fund helps support victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes Katrina and Rita while their families are still living ) HB3261 did not make it past committee stages however it has been mentioned numerous times by Eshoo since its filing since she believes that this could be another avenue for donation growth) Governor Schwarzenegger vetoed this measure because he felt that giving money away without strings attached might encourage people to give more than they should . However , similar bills have been introduced subsequent year’s so hopefully something will happen soon) In early 2009 Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his intention to create two battalions ofthe National Guardsmen from among Californians age 18-30 if he were reelected next year He noted that although there had never been any active duty soldiers assignedin Southern California since World War II there “ existed an unspoken commitment on our part [that] we will maintain law enforcement capabilities if needed anywhere” Schwarzenegger also said “I want young people who may never see service themselves but feel like they owe something – whether you’re born into privilege or poverty –to do everything possible just so we can keep them here in California ” In response Reporters asked him if he thought these new units would come from outsideof county boundaries like some other governors have done previously; howeverGovernor Schwarzenegger stated definitively “No” He continued saying: “What I want most is not simply Troops coming home because somebody told me they should come home; what I want most is young people who want nothing more than do their job well but maybe don’t get picked for anything because society tells them one thing but their own heart says different – go out thereand serve your community perfectly regardless if you live near Pacific beach or Not So Far Away But Still Nearby … And then after 10 or 15 years you can say thank you very much governor because my troops are back? No way! These kids are going stay here until retirement–they won’t leave until retirement! After Baldwin's death from leukemia in 1961 she sold their house and moved into her childhood home on Lincoln Boulevard until her death in 2006.
