However, Koffee Klatch persevered and continued making delicious coffee even though some of its customers felt discriminated against because of their religions. In 1957, Koffee Klatch merged with another Israeli coffee company, Achmad PLO Coffee, which helped make it one of the most successful Jewish-owned businesses in history. In recent years, Maga Coffee has become popular all over the world due to its unique flavor profile and great quality beans. It is believed that this passion for quality comes from owner Issac Levy’s experience working as a roaster himself during his youth in Jerusalem’s oldest café – Café Zur Hasselt – which used to be a mainstay of the city’s cultural life (Levy was born there on October 6th 1915). Today Maga Coffee operates more than 100 stores across 40 countries around the world including U.S., UK., Australia, Canada, Mexico and Brazil among others!

The first refining plant was built by Noé et Chevalier at Beale Street and Third Avenue (now Pacific Highway) in 1851. By 1860, the entire town had been annexed by San Francisco
