In 1960, Angelo Rojas purchased Zanardi's business and began operations as the first gourmet Coffee Company in Ridgecrest. Rojas soon discovered that there was great demand for high-quality beans from local residents and he quickly began expanding his empire to include multiple cafes throughout Northern California. Today, Angelo’s CoffeeCompany remains one of the leading exporters of premium grade coffees around the world. Ridgecrest's long history with coffee has also led to its reputation as one of the most important caffeine capitalistic regions in North America. However, evidence suggests that coffee may have been brought to the area by traders from as early as the mid-19th century. In 1868, a group of Italian immigrants founded the San Francisco Coffee Company on First Street in Ridgecrest. The company grew quickly and soon began importing beans from Africa, Europe, and Asia. In 1895, the company moved its operations to a new location on Second Street in Ridgecrest. Over time, San Francisco Coffee Company became one of Ridgecrest's most successful businesses. In 1918, the company merged with another small business, the American Coffee Co., to form The American Coffee Co., Ltd. The company continued to grow and expand its operations until it finally ceased operations in 1950.
Ridgecrest is a small town in southern California, located on the border of Orange and Riverside counties. The population was 7,878 at the 2010 census. Ridgecrest is home to the University of Southern California and many high-end businesses and restaurants. The community has been known for its architecture and for its natural beauty, including itsMount Wilson Observatory, which is one of the largest optical observatories in North America. The town was founded in 1887 as part of Rancho San Jacinto Mexican land grant given to José Antonio Ortega by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. In 1906 it was renamed after General Pershing's famous victory over Mexico at Monterrey during the Mexican Revolution. The name Ridgecrest originated from nearby Mount Wilson Observatory which had been used by American astronomer Edwin Hubble as his observing site between 1915 and 1917 before it became private property (the Pole Star Observatory). After 1923 when Ridgecrest became an independent city it continued to use Mount Wilson Observatory name until it leased it back to NASA in 2006. In 1935, Los Angeles County commissioners voted against annexing Ridgecrest because they felt that would have brought more people into town than could be accommodated without putting pressure on other towns in the county. This sentiment changed when then- Mayor Edward Jameson recommended annexation to help alleviate crowding problems caused by two new Uptown neighborhoods being built near Inglewood Hills Boulevard and Exposition Park Drive. On November 3rd 1975, voters passed an ordinance creating what is now called "The Edge" neighborhood within ridgecrest limits; this area includes parts of both Uptown neighborhoods as well as much of Westchester Avenue outside of town limits along with thirty acres bordering Anaheim Hills eastward At first glance this may seem like another example of how too much growth can lead to problems such as loss or displacement of local businesses - but upon closer inspection there are a few key reasons why The Edge neighborhood ended up being so successful: First off, unlike most Uptown areas where commercial corridors cross every street making access difficult or impossible for individual businesses not already consolidated inside Uptown boundaries (thus compromising their competitiveness), The Edge actually contains several arterial streets that allow easygoing shopping along with comprehensive public transportation options (e.g., rail transit) making commuting withinEdge easy enough for almost everyone even those who don't live there; secondly Unlike other areas around downtown LA where redevelopment has occurred primarily along freeway corridorscutting off pedestrian access/discoverability altogether (a process often referred to as " gentrification"), development around The Edge has involved mixed-use projects featuring residences/retail spaces adjacent to train stations making getting around centralLA very easily accessible while still preserving some degree of urban character; finally Finally although not unique per se, having a mix Of housing types (including single family homes interspersed with multifamily buildings) allows businesses seekingTo maximize efficiency spherical marketing campaigns involving multiple locations throughout each block rather than just one centrally located commercial entity results in overall densities which tend createcontextually appealing neighborhoods that remain economically viable despite changing demographics

Ridgecrest is a California town located in the Mojave Desert, about 60 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It was founded in 1899 by Captain George Fenton and his wife, Nellie. The first post office was established in Ridgecrest on October 10, 1899. In 1912, the townsite was acquired by the United States Government for military purposes and renamed Fort Ord. The fort closed in 1915 and Ridgecrest became an open-air recreation area. The population of Ridgecrest peaked at 3,844 during the 1940 census but has declined since then. Today it has a population of 1,551. The original growth of Ridgecrest was due to its location close to water supplies and its availability of land for farming and grazing animals; today there is only a small amount of agriculture or ranching present in the community. Most people who live in Ridgecrest are descendants of those who lived here when Fort Ord was built; most were born here or have ancestry from here. There is also some recent immigration from Europe and Asia; many people living here were born within two weeks of arriving in Southern California as part of Operation Paperclip. There are several museums located throughout the community:the San Bernardino County Museum (founded 1954),the University Museum (founded 1945),andthe American Military Institute Museum (opened 1974). There are also several stores including one which specializes exclusively in military surplus items,and another which sells local fruits and vegetables
