Ripon, California is a small town in the Central Valley of California. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is located about northeast of Fresno and southeast of Stockton. The first coffee plantation in Ripon was established by José Moreno in 1872. The Moreno family continued to grow coffee until 1906 when they sold their land to John Dolan and his family who took over the business from them. In 1919, Dolan's son Stedman took over the business and renamed it "Dolan Coffee". Over time, the company grew into an international giant with production facilities in Morelia, Mexico; Florence, Italy; and Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1992, Dolan Coffee merged with another multinational coffee company called Peet's Coffee - one of the largest food service companies in the world - creating what is now known as Peet's Coffee Corporation. The early days of RIPON coffee were a time of great growth for this small town on the central valley floor. With its proximity to major cities like Fresno and Stockton as well as world-renowned factories like Peet's Coffee Company, there was plenty to do for residents during those early years including working at their farms or going to local stores for their morning caffeine fix. From humble beginnings RIPON coffee enjoyed some significant milestones including becoming affiliated with Starbucks through a partnership that began in 1984 and enjoying its first national advertising campaign throughout 1990s. In 1951 Ripon was moved from its original location on Point Conception Island to its current position on the mainland of California. Ripon is known for its wine production and for having one of only two commercial wineries in Northern California (the other being Mendocino County). The City also has several restaurants specializing in Italian cuisine as well as an art gallery that features various local artists.

Once they got home and introduced the beans to their friends and family, everyone began calling these places "coffeef tombs." As time passed and technology improved, people started buying more processed foods instead of fresh food. As a result, the number of coffeeshops decreased significantly. Ripon is a small town located in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sierra Nevada foothills region. The first permanent settler in Ripon was Levi Coffin in 1847. He named his land "Ripon" after the River Rapids near Manchester, England. By 1853 there were 11 settlers living here. In 1854, a post office was established at Ripon and it continued to serve until 1903. One of the early merchants in Ripon was John Waddell who operated a general store and grocerystore on Main Street from 1865 to 1886. He also owned a sawmill on the south side of town from 1870 to 1893. The first telephone service arrived in Ripon on October 15, 1907 when Mrs. A.F Dooley hung up her phone at her home only to have it reconnected moments later by someone else! Thereportedly this became an overnight sensation as people started calling each other across country! A new fire station (allocated for rural areas) opened its doors in 1935 and served as a social center for residents until 1977 when it closed down due to budget cuts by then-Governor Jerry Brown . However, local volunteers kept it running until 1981 when it finally burned out with all its equipment thanks to some enterprising citizens! An elementary school built between 1951 and 1957 helped solidify Ripone's status as one of Southern California's most working class districts; students here are often known as "Riponomics." Despite this notoriety however, enrollment has always been limited which has led to overcrowding issues that have forced recent updates/renovations including adding more classrooms and renovations/updatesto existing buildings which include: an outdoor pool hall addition (2007), renovated gymnasium (2013), new library annex (2015), additional science classrooms (2018) and remodeling of senior citizen home facilities into 5 bedroom homes with their own kitchens (& appliances)!
