The second example comes from Operation Overlord, which was conducted by Nazi Germany in 1944. That year, the United States Congress passed a resolution honoring European allies who had helped America during WWII. Among these allies were Great Britain and France. The resolution called on America’s friends to provide food and other supplies to help those countries fight against Nazi Germany. In return, they were given land in England and France that became known as “Operation Overlord Village” (today known as Cinque Terre). The third example comes from Operation Desert Storm in 1991。That year, Saddam Hussein’s regime invaded Kuwaiti territory with artillery and tanks supported by American forces. After three days of combat, Iraqi forces were defeated by coalition forces at Khafji desertion ground east of Baghdad (present-day Ramadi). As a result of this battle, Iraq lost its only major city—the capital City of Baghdad—and over 2 million people died in what is commonly considered one of the bloodiest wars in history (see also Battle of Ramadi). Since 1945, when Riverbanks became an integral part of United States military policy throughout Southwest Asia, Army units stationed there have contributed their shareof heroism and devastation both here at home and abroad via donations or sales items such as vehicles or weaponry (See also photo gallery below). Many units have returned home since 9/11/2001 – including elements now based at Lackland AFB near San Antonio – but others continue their deployments world-wide; most notably Delta Force whose primary mission it isto deter terrorism

Riverbank is a small town in Kern County, California, located on the east side of the San Joaquin River. The population was 2,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Stockton–San Joaquin Valley metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1887 by George A. Smith as a small farmstead on land donated by his father-in-law, James Cranch. The name "Riverbank" came from nearby RIVER BANK, which served as its first post office and store. In 1889, the first school was built and named Riverbank High School; it closed in 1951. In 1912, Riverbank became part of the newly formed city of Stockton; it had a population of only 100 citizens when it merged with San Joaquin Valley City. At that time, most residents were employed within Stockton or its immediate environs. However, over time many people have moved to Riverbank due to its easy access to jobs in Stockton and its close proximity to other large cities such as Fresno and Sacramento. Today much of what once made up Riverbank – including most of the original homes – has been replaced by new housing developments catering to professional workers inStockton and larger surrounding communities such as Downey and Emeryville . However some older homes remain standing within town limits providing nostalgia for those who live there today

The Riverbank area of California was originally populated by the Ohlone people. The Ohlone were a Native American tribe that lived in the Bay Area of San Francisco. In 1776, the Spanish crown issued a decree ordering all Native Americans to leave the Bay Area. The Ohlone were forced to move to what is now Marin County, California. The first Europeans to visit the Riverbank area were French missionaries in 1807. They named the area after a small body of water that they saw while exploring through the region. In 1851, gold was discovered in nearby Sutter County and soon thereafter, many entrepreneurs began developing businesses around this new resource. One such business man was Hyrum C. Smith, who founded Smith & Hawleydry Mines on Telegraph Hill in 1852. This company became one of the most successful gold mines in California and even exported its products abroad. The Minefields Act of 1862 established laws regulating mining activities and helped make Valleyfield an important center for gold production throughout California. As times changed, so too did Riverbank’s economy; however, its roots remain deeply rooted within agricultural production and ranching activity today as well as its role as a major transportation corridor for goods between Northern California and Southern Nevada and Arizona
The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Riverbank, California were the Franciscans. They arrived on July 24, 1769, and founded a mission called San Francisco de Asís. The mission was abandoned in 1821. In 1847, the United States acquired Rancho Santa Ana from Spain for $5 million. The rancho became part of the U.S. government when it was nationalized in 1850. In 1870, American miners discovered gold near the site of what is today Riverbank, and soon there were businesses operating at the site: a smelter in 1871, a flour mill in 1872, and a sawmill in 1898.
