The Coast Guard Station in Riverside was established on December 12, 1915. It was the first station in Orange County. The Coast Guard Station continued to serve as a law enforcement and emergency service center until 1978. In 1978, it became a station for the Riverside Sheriff's Department. In 2002, it became a daycare facility for children who are fleeing their homes during a tornado outbreak. On November 20, 2003, the Coast Guard Station was placed under federal control and became part of the United States Customs and Border Protection bureau. Until recent years, gifts from individuals or groups were not given to members of the Coast Guard because they could be used against them in court if evidence existed that these gifts had been received unlawfully or without proper consideration being given to our service members. However, with the passage of The Gift Clause which amended Title 18 USC Section 7001(a), all gift giving now becomes compliant with Federal law regardless of where it occurs within the United States (and any foreign country). This change comes as no surprise because Gifts from Individuals represent only about 1% of all gifts ever given to members of our Service; while Gifts from Groups make up an overwhelming majority (between 96% and 98%). With this new rule change came also a reoccurring question for many people: What constitutes “gift”? Under previous law, many things such as flowers or small items like candy could have been considered gifts if they were accepted by someone who might use them later on in some way outside of just services rendered. With this amendment however all types of personal property including food supplies or equipment can now be considered gifts if they are accepted by someone likely to use them immediately after receipt- even if that person is not currently employed by us! For example- If you receive a package filled with food supplies that you will need right away to start cooking meals for your family- those supplies would previously have been classified as “gift” material under prior rules. So far this new rule has caused quite a stir among our Service Members who are already busy making ends meet while trying toب repeat great job performances at their respective units; but most importantly it has also opened up more opportunities for givebacks through heartfelt efforts made by civilians who may not know how to contact us directly should they find something special they want/need from our Unit Bundles (ie., Toys For Tots). So far we have received over $3 million dollars worth of donations through Give Back Day since its inception back in 2006!

Riverside, California is a city in the San Bernardino County of southern California. It is located on the western edge of Riverside County and on the eastern edge of Orange County. As of the 2010 census, its population was 153,041. The city's name comes from its location at a crossing of two rivers: the river Nile and the river Big Sur. The first Europeans to visit what is now Riverside were Franciscans who built Mission San Gabriel Arcángel in 1795. At that time, Rancho Niguel was also part of this mission area. In 1818, Alta Californian Governor José Joaquín de Arzobispo granted Rancho Niguel to Rafael Castro and Antonio Maria Neveño for 3000 acres (1 km2). Castro named it Villa Park after his wife, Félix y Margarita Vidal Vallejo Castro (1788-1864), daughter of Don José María de los Angeles y la Huerta (1729-1805), viceroy and governor general ad interim during Mexican War I (1821-24). From 1828 until 1840, Rancho Niguel was managed byLuís Buenavista Peña y Velez as part of El Dorado grant from Governor Manuel Micheltorena to James Purdy as part of Napa Valley grant. In 1871 Ventura County was established from parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties with land including what is now Riverside taken from Rancho Niguel; so too did Riverside become an incorporated city in 1893 with a population over 50% white European American while Asian immigrants made up 2%. The Chinese Exclusion Act had no effect on immigration into or settlement within present day Riverside; however it did affect downtown business activity which peaked during World War II when many factories moved out because they could not compete with cheap labor being offered by other countries such as Mexico City or China. After World War II ended most businesses moved back in but there have been sporadic efforts over several decades to revive downtown revitalization through economic development plans such as creative programming called "Citiespace" which connects businesses and services inside one central space Downtown Riverside has seen numerous events taking place throughout its history such as world wars I & II concerts by both Hollywood stars like Bing Crosby and Bob Hope & Eleanor Roosevelt; riots that took place during 1960s Watts Rebellion; especially memorable are Stonewall Inn uprising where police brutality led à Black Panther Party youth activists occupying local banks before eventually withdrawing when demonstrations turned violent; 30 Years Later Unity Rally attended by then Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa where then President George W Bush addressed concerns about crime rates adjacent to Interstate 5 - specific areas have seen increased redevelopment such as Art District/Parks Eastside anchored by Sybase Corporation Campus Center which opened in early 2009 following several years work by private developers focused on resurrecting older buildings around Grand Avenue near Downtown Transit Center that had been derelict for many years prior Historically speaking Downtown Riverside has always been home to some type of business or cultural activity be it restaurants popular among Latino Main Street aficionados known for their margaritas or music venues hosting various types shows throughout the year weekend long affair characterized locally throughout recent decades generally considered Claremont Live Arts Festival “the biggest free outdoor arts event” annually attracting national attention each spring/early summer running since2000 – organizedally sanctioned precursor to larger NoDa Arts Festival concurrent every fall tucked away along side Trinity Western University’s adjoining campus
The Coast Guard has been providing emergency services since 1790. The first coast guard station was established in Boston, Massachusetts in 1626. In 1812, the first Cutter service was organized and functioned from vessels moored at Narragansett Bay. The Coast Guard became a state agency in 1959. The National Security Act of 1947 created the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary which provided support for the Department of Defense during World War II. After the war, the Auxiliary focused on maritime security including traffic control and anti-submarine warfare. In 1978, the Auxiliary merged with the Coast guard proper to form one unified force. During Operation Neptune’s Spear in 1986, over 1,000 members of both agencies participated in an effort to secure critical U.S coastline around Thailand after a tsunami devastated that country. As part of Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs programs, the Coast Guard has primary responsibility for law enforcement along U.S coasts and waters bordering Canada and Mexico as well as south Florida Checkpoint 2 near Miami Beach.] As America's oldest national emergency response organization, it is no surprise that today's Coast Guardiji operates more than 350 ships manned by more than 20,000 personnel worldwide engaged in homeland defense missions such as search and rescue; environmental protection; customs inspections; air traffic control; fisheries patrol; border security; and trade protection operations across six oceans.[1] With experience conducting Search And Rescue (SAR) operations off coastlines across North America from Catalina Island to Nova Scotia,[2] coastal communities have entrusted Coastal Guardsmen with their most important mission: saving lives when something goes wrong at sea or ashore – whether it's a boat caught on fire or a lost miner.] In addition to its core SAR mission responsibilities mentioned earlier - including helping stranded sailors find safe harbor following disasters like hurricanes Katrina or Sandy -[3] Coast Guard auxiliary vessels also provide other essential services such as Search And Recovery (SAR), which is when shoreline responders use boats or helicopters to help find survivors who may be trapped under rubble or water after a natural disaster.] these include providing cover during gunnery drills while underway while rescuing people overboard during storms like Hurricane Rita,[4],[5],[6],[7], beach patrols during high tide periods[8],[9], Fisheries Patrol deployments[10],and Jade Helm 15 training exercises]] The history of gift giving starts way back before there were any streets named after coastguardsmen! The Coast Guard gift history goes back to 1912 when the first Coast Guard Cutter, PCL-1 was donated by the New York Port Authority. The cutter continued to be used as a patrol boat and then as a service vessel until she was decommissioned in 1954. In 1969, the Cutter was reactivated and became part of the Coast Guard's Lifeguard Unit at Governors Island before being decommissioned again in 1990. The cutter was donated once again to the Coast Guard by New York State in 1992 and has been used as a training vessel for new recruits since then.
Riverside, California is a city in the San Bernardino County of Southern California. The population was 147,189 at the 2010 census. Riverside is the county seat and largest city of San Bernardino County. It is also one of two cities in Los Angeles County, both of which are also counted as part of the metropolitan area known as LA- agglomeration. The first permanent settlement in what is now Riverside was made on May 10, 1853 by three men who founded the town of Morongo Mesa on Rancho Cucamonga's east side. The name for this new community was Pueblo de la Bahia (Pueblo Beach), but it soon became apparent that there would be no full-time resident population until water could be brought to provide washing and drinking facilities for everyone in their vicinity. So work began on securing an appropriation from Congress to build a canal from Baja California to Orange County through what is now Riverside; construction started in 1857 but only reached its final form and opening to traffic on July 1, 1861. In less than a decade after it became a U.S. territory, Riverside had become one of the most important cities within newly created Southern California due to its location at the mouth of [*]the [* river] Murphys† River and its easy access to goods essential for further development such as citrus fruits and cattle drives down [*the] Arizona Road that connected Los Angeles with Tucson* (*and other settlements). One reason why early efforts were made[to establish] trade posts along [*the] Mojave Desert shoreline were because so much saltpeter *needed for explosives was mined near present-day Indio.* (*) As tensions over competing claims among various Native American tribes escalated during Indian Wars fought between 1848 and 1851*, [*], many Mexicans who had been working as ranch hands or miners came into conflict with Anglo settlers over land rights* (*). In 1862, local militia helped quell an uprising by Mexican Americans against Confederate forces occupying southern Mexico; during that period “Riverside may have been America’s bloodiest insurrectionist(town)”*(*). This violence led eventually {"to"} incorporation into Anaheim by City Council Resolution No. 565 on February 20th, 1893″
Riverside was founded in 1875 by two brothers, Ezra and Samuel Morse. It became a city on January 1, 1876. The city's first mayor was John Sutter.
