Over time other businesses have followed Harry’s lead and opened up shop next door at 2642 First St., known today as “Rocklin Armory” – still selling quality firearms today! In recent years, other businesses have sprung up around town such as “Trigger Time Guns & Ammo” (originally called simply “Trigger Time”) which specializes exclusively in handgun sales; and finally, “Guns And Ammo Plus” which specializes exclusively in rifles and shotguns!. Rocklin is a small town in the Inland Empire of California, located within the San Bernardino County area. The population was 5,812 at the 2010 census. The discovery of oil during World War I led to an increase in development around Rocklin; with five oil wells brought up for production between 1915 and 1918, Rocklin exploded into growth overnight. Many original structures from this time remain extant today including both the townsite hall (built 1914) and high school (1922). One notable addition during this time were two large radio towers that were built just north of town- they are still standing today and serve as a source of local advertising. It wasn't until 1971 when major revisions to state law allowed for industrial sprawl within San Bernardino County that much development occurred outside of downtown Rocklin proper; however much existing housing remains hereabouts including several well-known subdivisions such as Vista del Lago subdivision which has been called "the most beautiful piece of real estate ever developed" according to Forbes magazine . In 1860, the old adobe rancho of Rancho El Dorado was acquired by John Sutter from his brother-in-law Josiah Whitney for $4,000 (). The rancho became one of the most important landholders in central California. In 1865 it was sold to James Waddell for $10 million (). Waddell renamed it Sacramento County after himself and added land to its east side including parts of today's Redding and Happy Camps neighborhoods. The early 19th century saw an influx of Irish immigrants who worked on ranches and plantations around Rocklin and eastern Contra Costa County. Many Immigrants also settled near San Francisco Bay where they built docks for shipping goods imported overland from China during this time period
