The history of the navy in Rocklin, California begins with the Spanish Navy on December 18, 1769. The first naval ship to visit San Francisco was the Santiago de Cabrillo in 1776. Commodore James Cook sailed into Golden Gate Harbor on October 20, 1777 and brought back a fleet of thirteen ships including the very first American warship- HMS Constitution. In 1850, Captain John D. Stockton founded the town of Rocklin and began building wharves for goods coming from Asia and Europe. He also built a small arsenal to house munitions for his city's defense. In 1865, Captain George Fenton established a military post at Point Conception near present day Rocklin after months of careful reconnaissance of the Mexican border. The fort was later renamed Fort Stockton and became an important center for law enforcement in south County during that time period. On January 1st 1870, Captain Albert Jankowski established what is now known as Naval Air Station North Point just east of downtown Rocklin when he took command of VMF(N) 4th Fleet based at El Centro Naval Air Station (later NAS Los Angeles). After World War II ended on September 2nd 1945, both NAS North Point and Point Conception were closed down due to budget cuts by Admiral Nimitz which ultimately led to their closure in 1951 when NAS Ventura replaced them as Headquarters for all United States Naval Forces Pacific Fleet active afloat- offices then moved ashore at Fort Lawley until it closed in 1968 when Headquarters moved ashore at Long Beach California after being transferred from Washington State Department responsible to DOD headquartered at Pentagon following National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed that year which placed USS Enterprise underway conducting nuclear tests off Nevada Test Site prior USS Ponce arrived there subsequently operating outfitting/repairing her predecessor during Operation Jazz Age aboard herport while still under NDAA jurisdiction pending transfer authority authority decision providing she came ashore here finally becoming self contained operation independent within DoD once again effective January 3rd 1970 upon new Director Rear Admiral Harry S Truman assumption control over all UPNF operations Center Commander Rear Admiral Harry S Truman via letterhead - this change formalized virtual end to Navy's affiliation with Deptof Defense following World War II era ending with Japan's surrender North Point remained an important naval air station until its closure in 1951 because it had been redesignated as Headquarters for all United States Naval Forces Pacific Fleet active afloat corresponding with establishment of USS Enterprise under newDirector Rear Admiral Harry S Truman prior thereto effective January 3rd 1970 notwithstanding earlier notification by Deptof Defense foregoing any such transfer impending hereinunder; thereafter Coast Guard Academy relocated permanently to former Army Air Force Base Miramar adjacent thereto using land formerly used for Coast Guard barracks thenceforth known as "NMCA" - thus effectively terminating naval ties between DOD & NCA resulting in abandonment of North Point facility thereby closing chapter on navy gift history in Rocklin Caliornia

The range was originally designed for use by the U.S. Army, but was later turned over to the navy in 1906. The arsenal continued to be used until it closed in 1954. In 1933, Rear Admiral John W. Richardson donated a battleship air group and related equipment to the navy's shipyards in San Diego. This allowed the navy to build self-reliant air forces that could operate from any location within the United States without relying on foreign support or assistance. A total of 10 battleships were built at San Diego between 1933 and 1945, including 5 that were specifically commissioned into service with the navy as USS Boise (BB-38), USS Lexington (CV-6), USS Nevada (BB-36), USS Porter (AP-4), and USS Quincy (CV-7). The ships served as part of both world wars, being deployed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. USS Boise decommissioned in 1946 and was sold for scrap metal; however, her history lives on through her namesake Battle Ship Memorial Museum which is located adjacent to Naval Base Point Loma near Oceanside CA
Rocklin is a small city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 5,769 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Kern County and included in the Bakersfield metropolitan area. The first people to arrive in Rocklin were the Chinese who built a sawmill and lumberyard on the east side of town. The first post office was established in 1887. In 1912, Rocklin became an incorporated townsite with a population of just over 300.residential development started around 1940 when Rocklin Electric Cooperative opened its first store and began serving customers from all over Kern County. By 1951, there were 10 businesses operating in Rocklin with a combined payroll of $5 million. In that year, ROCKLIN ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE became ROCKLIN INCorporated and changed its name to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). PG&E has been Rocklin's largest employer since it merged with Southern California Edison Corporation (SCE) in 1989. Today, PG&E employs about 43% of the city's workforce and provides essential services like power, water, telecommunications and natural gas to more than 8 million residents across southern Kern County including many homes along Interstate 5 which are connected by PG&E’s network of cables directly to their nearest neighborhood or community center

Rocklin, California is a small town in San Joaquin County, California. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Sacramento River. The community began as an adobe rancho called Rancho la Hacienda de las Palomas, founded in 1844 by José Báez and his wife María del Carmen Costilla. In 1868, Rocklin was incorporated as a town. The first post office in Rocklin opened on July 14, 1868. It was renamed Rocksdale on October 15 of that year because of the rocks lining the river's banks. By 1870, Rocksdalers had built a gristmill and an sawmill around which they developed a dry goods trade with Stockton and other parts of Northern California. In 1893, railroad president George Pullman donated land to Rocklin for a railroad station and depot; construction began in 1895 but stopped due to financial difficulties. The depot served as the junction for several lines until it burned down in 1907. Rocklin's economy changed during World War II when war production increased demand for food products from local farmers and ranchers who grew crops such as cotton and hay on their properties near the river valley. After the war ended, many businesses closed or were shifted to larger cities such as Fresno or Sacramento due to new technology investments that took over industry throughout most of North America during those years (the "Great American Famine"). However, Rocklin continued to grow through annexations by other municipalities over time including: Belmont (1949), Atherton (1963), Carquinez City (1981), Lodi (1989) and Donner Valley Unified School District No.(2002). In recent years there has been growth in housing development adjacent to downtown along Interstate 5 with some projects reaching up into neighboring towns including Arvin Heights (2006) and Sterling Heights (2008). There are plans underway for another elementary school located east of downtown that would add nearly 300 new homes phase two will begin this year
Rocklin was founded in 1859 by John B. Rocklin and his wife, Lillie. The town was named for John's father, Robert Rocklin. In 1870, the town had a population of about 100 people and two stores. In 1881, the first school in the town was built and a post office was established. By 1920, there were six businesses in the town and two churches. In 1935, Rocklin had a population of 350 people and four businesses.
