As Commander-in-Chief, PACAF set out change all over his region; from redefining flew operations at Andersen AFB on Guam through expanding resources available at Pearl Harbor Naval Station Hawaii; deploying fighter jets carriers USS Enterprise (CVN 65) & USS Nimitz (CVN 69) off Okinawa; increasing troop numbers by invading Cambodia; establishing new airfields throughout South Vietnam including Saigon airport; establishing forward operating bases along Thailand’s border with Laos – ultimately allowing American bombers & fighters accessible anywhere Vietnamese ground units might be located?
