With the advent of air travel, marine gift history in San Bernardino County has changed dramatically. However, some businesses persevered and continue operations even during difficult times. One example is The Boat Shop which opened its doors in 1951 after being closed by JB Simons who owned a nearby paper mill (now called SRI International). The store continued operation despite losing its entire inventory due to WWII shortages and also served as a migrant worker training center for future employees at SRI International during the early 1960s (Kleinenberg 1979). In 1984, Don & Marilyn Ziegler donated $5,000 towards renovation of Harbour Square Marina which would become home to Harbour Life Aquarium soon afterwards (Moses 1985). This donation marked another milestone inSan Bernadino’s maritime history as Harbour Square became one ofsan Bernadino’s most popular tourist destinations both locally and internationally (Lansky 1990b). In addition to harbour life, Harbour Square also features several restaurants including Joe’s Crab Shack which opened its doors in 1978; The Rusty Nail bar & Grill which first opened its doors in 1984; Asimosa Indian Bistro - now known as Asimosa Indo Chinese Cuisine - whose first restaurantopened its doorsin 1986; Mango tree - now known as Just Mango -whosefirst restaurantopeneditsdoorsin1991;andthe recently renovated Pier 48 Restaurant & Pub featuring live music nightly throughout the summer months (Hemingway 1993a). There have been numerous changes over time at Harbour Square Marina but it has remained an important partofSanBernadino’sandchamberofcommerce and culture (Moses 1985) with many locals turning out each seasonto enjoythefreshwaterandseafoodaroundhaventheproperseasonfor generations prior thereto(Lansky 1990a).

San Bernardino is a city in and the county seat of San Bernardino County, California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21, extraterritoriality has not been claimed by any other municipality in California. The first permanent settlement in what is now San Bernardino County was made on February 14, 1817 when Captain John C. Frémont discovered land that would become Riverside County. In 1838, following Gold Rush fever which swept across southern California during that year, General Mariano Vallejo designated Rancho San Bernardino as part of his Rancho Santa Anita chain. At its peak in 1870, rancho San Bernardino covered an area of 117 square miles (290 km2). It had a population of approximately 10,000 people. The Panic of 1907 caused a noticeable decrease in population at both ranches due to fear for their future if gold prices plummeted and economic instability ensued. With no assurance that gold would still be available for export after the depression set into motion by Wall Street's reaction to the stock market Crash of 1929 affected so many businesses around the country, many people left either voluntarily or involuntarily- many ending up settling in Los Angeles and Orange Counties where there were more job opportunities during this time period than near-by ranches can offer today. However, even with less access to reliable water sources and fewer opportunities for agriculture due to overgrazing by cattle Pasture practices have continued unabated at much lower levels on some portions of land since then given continuous support from dedicated citizens who care about preserving our environment In recent years there have been various efforts made by property owners/ developers within or outside city limits to try and get tax breaks from city government through annexation/incorporation into their town or village form – despite declarations from Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa himself that he will never allow such things without City Council’s approval; however all such attempts have met with opposition primarily coming from within city limits because they understand how important it is for jobs within our borders while also trying to maintain control over all aspects related thereto including zoning regulationswhich are often used as tools against developers rather than foster growth As mentioned earlier immigration has played an ever increasing role inside and outside of Greater Los Angeles specifically spawning families originating mostly from South Asia who continue to search for a better life opportunity despite increased poverty rates among certain sections throughout those regions especially Downtown LOS ANGELES which continues to experience high crime rates Despite numerous law enforcement initiatives aimed at reducing these types

The city of San Bernardino, California was founded in 1795 by Juan Bautista de Anza as a trading post on the San Gabriel River. The location provided easy access to trade with surrounding Mexican provinces and the east coast of America. In 1814, California became a U.S. territory and San Bernardino became part of the newly formed county of Riverside. In 1848, the United States acquired Mexico's southernmost province, Alta California, and it was through this acquisition that San Bernardino County was created. In February 1850, Anthony J. Weldon was elected mayor of San Bernardino after being nominated by Vice President Millard Fillmore. Weldon served until his election as governor in November 1850 due to Fillmore's resignation following his unsuccessful campaign for president that year. As governor, Weldon enacted several reforms such as creating an agricultural bank and earmarking state appropriations for public education in order to improve infrastructure and provide opportunities for citizens to upwardly mobility into positions within society. In 1853, John Copley was elected mayor of San Bernardino when Weldon resigned from office due to health concerns; he served until March 1861 when he died at the age of 67 years old after a long illness which caused him great pain and suffering during his final days). On January 1st 1870, William Sanger organized what is now known as Orange County into one district under the new name “Riverside” because so much citrus fruit ran off the land around Riverside proper that trees could no longer support themselves (the average tree grows about 12 feet per year). The first elections were held in Riverside on April 6th 1870 with James Waugh being elected unopposed as supervisor; Waugh continued serving until 17 May 1870 when he resigned due to ill health; Charles Folsom took his place while Folsom again resigned on October 15th 1870 due to ill health before taking office on November 3rd 1870 becoming Supervisors James Mathers (January 4th – July 7th 1871), George Pacheco (February 4th –May 9th 1871), Edward Carleton (October 15th –December 5th 1871) and Lorenzo Beach (January 6th –May 8ths1872). It should be noted that all five supervisors were Democrats who had been appointed by Fillmore following his successful gubernatorial campaign in December 1850 where he won over Republican candidate Isador Gonzales with 54% of the vote compared to Gonzalez' 46%. Aftermaths political chaos led Governor Worthington call an special session of the State Legislature on January 14th 1872 where they passed two ordinances appointing Democrat John Peralta as sheriff instead of Republican incumbent Joseph Ahern who had refused to serve under Peralta despite being re-elected twice previous year; however Ahern refused further service after this appointment making him effectively untouchable politically throughout most ofSan Bernadino County history up until today circa 2000 although some Republicans have occasionally been appointed sheriff since then... As discussed earlier various Englishman began settling down hereabouts about 1800 & their names are written among us– amongst these were Captains Cook & Halyburton [sic]
