In 1933, Montoya's son Jorge constructed what would eventually become known as Josefina Coffee Roasters Inc(). In 1945, Jorge passed away at age 80 after many years leading the company into new eras through acquisitions and expansions. Today, Josefina Coffee Roasters continues to produce quality coffee under their original name while also expanding their reach into other markets around the world.

San Clemente is a small town in California, located on the San Clemente Peninsula. The town's population was 7,823 at the 2010 census. It is part of the City of San Diego. The name "Sanchon" means "safe harbor." When Spain acquired California in 1769, they named it for Sancho de la Vega, viceroy of Mexico and governor of Alta California. In 1821, after Mexican independence was recognized by Spain, mission president José Joaquín Mora y Quiroga changed the name to San Clemente after Saint Clementinus of Rome. The first post office opened in 1868 and became known as "Redondo Beach". A year later it changed its name again to "San Clemente". In 1906 it was renamed back to its original spelling – San Clemente – due to pressure from the American Chamber of Commerce. In 1970 voters passed a proposition calling for a change in municipal government from city-to-town format so that more residents could be served by one central governing body instead of several scattered committees. The new form was adopted and the town has since grown rapidly with annexations from other towns within its boundaries. In 2014–15, following years of budget cuts across all levels of government in Los Angeles County and throughout most Southern California, much hope was expressed for an economic turnaround at local level including in particular revitalization around downtown SAN CLEMENTE with initiatives such as art galleries/theater/cafés/restaurants etc.– an event which took place but did not result in significant spending increase or revived growth
The town of San Clemente was founded in 1853 by the brothers Lorenzo and Francisco Bocanegra. It became an agricultural community, and a lighthouse was established in 1856. The town was destroyed by fire in 1861, but it re-emerged as a thriving port with a population of around 100 people. In 1902, San Clemente incorporated as a city. The city grew rapidly, and by 1920 it had a population of over 5,000 people. It lost its status as a city after World War II, but regained it in the 1970s when the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach were created.
