Coffee has a long and varied history in San Jacinto, California. Beginning with the indigenous plants and trees that grew there, coffee was grown as early as 1825. Over time, different methods were developed to produce coffee beans. In 1868, an Italian immigrant named Giovanni Pezzulli began growing coffee beans on the site of what is now La Jolla Park. By 1898, Pezzulli had founded the world's first commercial roasting company. The company continues to operate today under the name of Peet's Coffee Company. The growth of the coffee industry in San Jacinto led to other businesses taking up space in old warehouses and factories. These new companies produced a variety of products including milk drinks, ice cream, cigars, cigarettes and other tobacco products. In 1912, Jaffe Bros., a grocery store chain based in Riverside County began selling roasted coffee beans from its own storagehouse downtown. This allowed for continued production and distribution of quality coffees throughout San Jacinto County without having to go through local merchants or distributors. In recent years, SANJACINTOWN COURSES - which are designed to bring people together around topics related to wine-making - has become one of the most important aspects of Coffee History Month in this town (and throughout Central California). Every year during Januaryvariety groups conduct tastings from various roasts and estates within walking distance of each other at two locations: One location hosts Sebastopol Roastery & Estate cheeses while anotherLocation hosts artisanal Laraño Donuts

In 1821, Mexico won its independence from Spain and formed the United Mexican States. San Jacinto was part of this new country, and it soon became a center of law and politics. The area around San Jacinto had been used for centuries as a hunting ground, so it was well-suited to become a military stronghold. This led to its nickname "The Fortress of the Philippines." The first European to arrive in what is now San Jacinto County was Antonio Vallejo, who explored the area in 1775. In 1824, Ulysses S. Grant founded Fort Worth on Texas' east coast and named it after San Jacinto because he thought it would help protect that side of the state from Mexican attack. The town of San Jacinto grew up around Fort Worth and gradually became an important trading post. It started out as a small village with only about 100 residents, but by 1830 it hadgrown into a larger city with some 1,000 inhabitants. San Jacinto quickly became one of the most important towns in California because of its strategic location: close to major trade routes and population centers, but also far enough away from Mexico that any attacks on America were likely to be successful. It also had strong support from powerful local citizens: many people wanted to keep their town safe from Mexicans and English settlers alike. In 1836, General Mariano Narváez attacked San Jacinto while American forces were besieging Santa Anna's capital at Austin (now Travis County). The Mexicans lost much blood and treasure during this fight before withdrawing back inside Mexico City; however, they left behind a lasting legacy: SAN JACINTO FALLS—a turbulent symbol of Mexican power over America that still remains today
Brewed in the 15th century, coffee was a popular drink throughout much of the world. This beverage has been enjoyed by many for centuries and today, it is still enjoyed by many people around the world. Some of the earliest coffee beans were grown in Peru and roasted in small batches. In 1795, French traders discovered Java and began to trade coffee with the Indonesian islanders. The first espresso machine was made in 1810. Coffee became an international commodity after Napoleon I banned its importation into France in 1814. In 1927, Roasters Guild International merged with three other organizations to form what is now The Roasters Guild Incorporated (T RG). T RG continues to be responsible for overseeing roast quality and marketing of coffees across all regions of the globe. There are currently over 200 member roasters worldwide who contribute to TG’s product line-up.

The San Jacinto Mountains are a natural landmark in northeastern California that play an important role in the state's history. The mountains, which rise to 8,200 feet (2,500 m) above average sea level, were named for General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, who fought in Mexico City during the Mexican-American War and led an army through California to victory over Spanish forces at Palo Alto on November 6, 1846. The battle was significant because it demonstrated the United States' strength and ability to resist Spanish aggression in what became known as the Mexican-American War. The battle also served as a symbol of American victory in the war and helped solidify U.S. support for annexation of Mexico following its defeat. The area now occupied by San Jacinto Mountains was part of Alta California under Mexican rule until 1850 when it was ceded to America following victory in the1853 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In 1871, after years of negotiation and discussion between Americans and Mexicans, Congress approved plans for a new county seat for Alta California – San Jacinto – based on recommendations from noted explorer Jedediah Smith and surveyor Wm. Will Rogers. On July 14, 1871, voters approved creation of San Jacinto County by vote of 3-1 with one abstention; county boundaries were set at what is now east side of I-15 near Rancho Cucamonga and west side of Interstate 5 just outside Glendora; present day areas include parts of Pomona (to the south), Riverside (to the north), Newport Beach (to the east), Cathedral City (northwest), Colima (southwest), La Mesa (southwest corner), Woodland Hills (northwestern corner). The first post office opened inSan Jacinto on October 1st 1870; it closed on September 30th 1872 due to low population growth rates within county limits relative to other counties within Alta California This marked one reason why San Jacintos development took so long - many people wanted to stay put while opportunities for growth emerged elsewhere
The Presidio of San Jacinto (founded in 1776) was a military installation of the Mexican Empire near San Antonio, Texas.
