The Santa Ana Coffee Company was founded in 1916 by two printers, Harry and Mildred Kapp. The first coffee was ground and bottled at the old Kapp & Sons grocery store on Broadway. In 1928, the company moved to its current location on Third Street in Santa Ana. The first shop was a small, one-room affair with a single roaster and four grinders. Today, the company has more than twenty-five locations throughout Southern California and forty-six stores worldwide. The history of artisan coffee is intertwined with that of Santa Ana itself. The city’s longstanding reputation as an early leader in coffee production has helped make it a favored locale for cafes catering to both local and international customers. In addition to its namesake avenue – which boasts some of the most popular cafes in town –Santa Ana is also home to several important industry landmarks associated with coffee: the old Kapp & Sons grocery store (which still stands], the now defunct First National Bank building (now home to various restaurants), and many of Santa Ana’s earliest café owners including Harry Kapp, John Hegarty, Felix Frankfurter, Noel Kingsbury, Harry Gibbs and Earle Waite himself. This rich coffee history is memorialized today through numerous historical markers scattered throughout town - most notably at 9th Street and Broadway where nine separate cafés were located between 1915-1979 before they were consolidated into one spot across the street at 3rd Street/East Broadway. Today's businesses continue this legacy by using only premium beans from small roasters all over America that are hand-selected for their particular flavor profile or occasion. However, many people continued to venerate her so some new missions were built around 1850 called Missions Dolores de la Purisima Concepción (Dolorosa de las Conquistadores), Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Our Lady of Roses) and Nuestra Senora del Carmen (Our Lady of Carmen). These missions became known as La Traviata because it used to take place on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. local time for women to watch visitors being conducted into slavery near downtown Santa Ana by Mexican smugglers operating out of Rancho Cucamonga before being sold into sexual servitude in nearby Southern California towns like Baldwin Park and Ontario

Coffee was believed to have originated in Ethiopia, but it is now thought that beans from the region were first roasted and brewed as early as the 6th century BC. The first coffeehouses in Europe opened in the 16th century, and by the 18th century, coffee was being consumed throughout most of Europe. In 1795, a group of Portuguese entrepreneurs founded a small business called Aromácia do Porto which became one of the leading coffee houses in Portugal. During World War II, many Allied countries underwent rationing policies which led to a decline in demand for coffee. However, espresso continued to be popular due to its convenience and richness- both qualities that appealed to people who could not afford expensive specialty coffees. In 1970, Anheuser Busch began producing its own signature roast called Busch Java- an attempt to revive interest in espresso among those who had abandoned it during World War II. Since then, there have been several waves of innovation within artisanal coffee production- including using sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting and mulching; developing new bean varieties; and using more environmentally friendly methods such as roasting without heat or flame. Today’sartisanal coffees are often unique and experimental, resulting in something truly unique each time they are enjoyed.

The original name of Anaheim was Buena Park until it changed to Anaheim on February 17, 1907 when it absorbed Rancho Niguel into its boundaries. On November 4, 1927, Anaheim became the first city in Orange County to be granted street rights within its limits as well as water rights for providing municipal services to residents in Trinity Canyon Reservoir and westward from Cypress Hills Boulevard until that reservoir's depletion in 1945 made clear that street access would not be possible without appropriations from future cities annexing portions of Irvine Creek valley east of I-5 known then as Corona Heights and north of Katella Avenue were Pahrump Valley had been annexed by Riverside County effective October 15th 1912 with $2 million dollars raised by lotteries; hence new streets called North Orange Street (later renamed State Route 17) ran concurrently through Corona Heights area now Honda Center while Huntington Avenue passed through what is now Garden Grove before reaching Koreatown Cemetery late along State Route 47 about midway between Koreatown Cemetery & Bridgetown Road where Old Korean Methodist Church stood until demolished during construction of new Civic Arena which can/should have been called Assembly Hall since this building also housed both the old gymnasium (northwest corner), later used as storage for NBA players’ cars prior to their move from Malibu Drive & Lankershim Boulevard opposite Staples Center prior to their purchase by Angelenos who moved them there from abroad early last decade
