Former Santa Clara, California coffee roaster and now owner of Kukui Coffee in the city, Rich Kellogg has been a coffee enthusiast for many years. In his early twenties he began roasting his own beans on a small scale and soon discovered that he enjoyed the taste and quality of roasted coffee better than what he could buy from commercial outlets. After purchasing his first espresso machine in 2006, Kellogg quickly realized that there was much more to coffee than just buying packaged beans. He decided to learn about all things coffee, reading various books, sampling different types of coffees from around the world and working with different roasters to develop his own blends.
