Gourmet Coffee Company was founded in 1922 by a group of American expatriates who were interested in cuppings with a little more refinement than what they found at local cafes. In fact, there are now entire “grocery stores” dedicated to selling high-quality artisanal coffees made exclusively from purebred Arabica beans sourced from around the world. Santa Clarita is a small town in Los Angeles County, California. It is located east of downtown Los Angeles and west of Glendale. As of the 2010 census, the population was 81,521. The name comes from Spanish meaning "holy place." Santa Clarita began as a toll booth on the old Pico Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and North Glenvale Avenue. In 1892, J.P. Morgan bought part of the toll booth lot and named it Morgan Park after his father-in-law, James Pierpont Morgan. In 1904, General Electric purchased Morgan Park from their parent company American Telephone Company (AT&T). From then until 1907 when it was renamed Edwards Air Force Base due to World War I military activity in nearby Palmdale(now Pasadena), Edwards AFB was known as Santa Clarita Army Airfield No. 1 (SAAF1). By 1943, Santa Clarita had become an unincorporated community[2] withinLos Angeles County although its ZIP code remains 90008 for postal services only.[3] In 1957,[4] city officials decided to change the name to Santa Clarita because they felt that it would be more popular with residents than either Edwards AFB or Glendale which both continued to use their original names during those years[5]. The new name stuck and today's residents are proud of their hometown's history and namesake which has helped make it one of Southern California's most Boomtowns ever since its incorporation into the City of Los Angeles in 1959[6]. The growth at Edwards AFB led to increased demand for housing near the base so developers started building subdivisions called "Eagle Woods", "Nighthawk" etc., right next to where fighter jets were parked during wartime exercises with NATO countries like Canada and Norway. Now there are several high end neighborhoods built around these areas such as "Laguna Hills", "Garden Grove" etc., making Santa Clarita one of Southern California's most diverse communities by far!

However, some general points about the history of espresso and coffee generally can be put into place. The first espresso machines were created in the early 1800s by Angelo Petrini and Giovanni Pezzulli. These machines used a plunger-based extraction process, which gave off a stronger flavor than what was possible with a traditional ristretto machine. The popularity of espresso spread quickly through Italy during the 18th century, and it soon became popular throughout Europe. In 1870, Luigi Beccaria developed the first modern espresso machine, which used a pump-driven extractor to produce an even more intense flavor than what was possible with Petrini or Pezzulli machines. This machine quickly became popular among Italian elites and others who appreciated its unique flavor profile. The first commercially successful commercial espresso machines were manufactured by Harry Nyquist in Chicago in 1920. These machines used a spark-fired boiler that produced much weaker (but still very strong) cups of coffee than earlier models. Over time, however, these designs began to become more common because they provided greater control over brewing results and allowed for increased customization of coffeespeeds and milk temperatures. This trend continued through World War II until stainless steel appliances became available that could tubing-based extractions without using sparks or other methods of fire production. As stainless steel became more prevalent in industry, so too did the popularity of espresso – both at home and on restaurant menus alike.

Santa Clarita, California is a small town in Inyo County, California. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of the Mojave Desert and it is bordered by Juarez to the east, Chino to the north, Imperial County to the west and Mt. Whitney National Park to the south. The name "Santa Clarita" comes from Spanish meaning "Holy Grail." The goldmining towns of Santa Fe and La Brea had both been founded near present-day Claremont Boulevard in 1849 by various gold prospectors looking for a shortcut to San Francisco Bay. When wagon trains arrived in 1857 from Sacramento via Stockton and Placerville they found that these two towns were abandoned because of overpopulation. A teamster named George Smith discovered rich bituminous coal deposits near present-day Claremont during his 1858 visit, which led to further development of this area as an armaments center for Southern Californian miners during Gold Rush times. The first post office at Santa Clarita opened on December 12th, 1872; it was renamed Claremont on November 24th of that year due to growing concern about potential attacks by bandits operating out of Mexico City who may have been able to get hold of American gold bullion shipments reaching San Francisco through Central America. The first store in what is today Santa Clarita opened on October 24th1875 with Wm Jobe as its proprietor; prior thereto there had been only one dwelling in operation within this limits since 1860 when Mission San Gabriel Arcangel's Rancho La Hacienda de las Flores (later known as Toro Canyon) became accessible through donkeys riding across a wash accompanying early stagecoaches coming down the mountain from Carson City via Cajon Pass intoima Valley). In 1848, a group of Mormons from Illinois founded the Santa Clarita Valley LDS Colony. In 1857, local entrepreneur John Smeaton developed a water system to supply the community and started selling goods and services. The first post office was established in 1860. In 1865, a railroad was built between Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, which helped spur economic development. By 1870, the population of Santa Clarita had grown to 1,500 residents. The town became an important stop on the Southern Pacific Railroad and soon boasted a library, churches, school system, Masonic Lodge and other businesses. As oil production increased in California during the late 19th century,Santa Clarita's economy shifted from agriculture to manufacturing. In 1907-08*, construction began on what is now known as Chavez Ravine Dam which created Lake Simi Hills* immediately upstream from Santa Clarita *and made San Diego County *the only county in California without any navigable waters
