In 1916, the company moved to its current location at 451 University Avenue, which became their main roasting and sales center. The company continued to grow throughout the 20th century; by 1984, they had outgrown their original space and relocated to a new facility adjacent to State Street in downtown Santa Maria. In 2006, Santa Maria Coffee brand was sold to French Roasters Corporation (FR). At FR, theSantaMaria Coffee Company resumed operations as an independent business with a focus on traditional roasted coffee products from Santa Maria County and Sonoma Valley California
Santa Maria, California is located in the south central region of California about an hour by car from Los Angeles. Santa Maria has a population of over 30,000 and is the seat of government for Santa Barbara County. The City of Santa Maria was incorporated on July 1, 1887. The city is named after Saint Mary (who lived in nearby Lompoc). The first European tosight the area was Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo on October 2, 1542 while sailing northwestward along what would become present-day US highways 101 and 17. He named it San Miguel de Allende because he saw Mt. Diablo near the town site. In 1821 Mexican land grantee Manuel Nieto founded Rancho Rinconada east of present-day downtown Santa Maria after finding rich farmland thereabouts. The rancho passed into American hands in 1848 when war with Mexico ended and Alvarado became governor of California. In 1861–1865 Ulysses S. Grant fought at the Battle of Soledad and General George Armstrong Custer Battlefield National Monument in SantaMaria today’s Anza Borrego Valley as part of his campaign against Mexican forces opposing United States control over this area during that period. An 1886 article about early settlers in Northern California noted: “It will be interesting to note how rapidly some pleasant surroundings have changed since those earliest days when men explored these parts for their simple living purposes only” The first post office opened at Soledad on December 12, 1886 by Hosea Morse Slaughter under license from US Postmaster General James Fenton Harper with Gorman Eager serving as clerk/typist/AGM until 1888 On November 10th 1898 – two miles north east of downtown Santa Maria – fire destroyed several homes burning for two hours before being put out by local volunteers aided by horse drawn wagons racing down Rodeo Drive towards Walden Pond where water could be used to extinguish the flames . One resident stated; “I never thought I’d see anything like that again but it happened right here in my front yard” US Route 101 was built through much of what is now downtown SantaMaria starting here in 1923 although there had been a previous turnpike route running parallel to Rodeo Drive known as First Street then renamed Third Street during Prohibition years . On December 25th 1942 Bataan Death March Survivors were passing through town enroute to Majuro Naval Base when they stopped at Soledad Springs Hotel following a march across Calaveras River which formed part oi their escape plan

Santa Maria, California is a town in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 7,191 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area and is located near Petaluma. Santa Maria was founded in 1868 by Don José de la Peña and other Mexican settlers as a small rancho on the edge of what is now Marin County. The name means "holy Mary's Ranch" or "Mary's Ranch". The first post office in SantaMaria was established in 1870. In 1876, freight rates for lumber brought residents to build sawmills on the creek that flows through the town. By 1903, when a hydroelectric power plant arrived in nearby Norco, logging became less common due to increased electricity costs. A new high school was built in 1912 and more people started settling in the area around it; this led to an increase in development around SantaMaria until it reached its peak around 1950s when jobs moved away from the town for reasons such as increased production at local breweries or Automobiles (the last big industry remaining until recently). With only 10% of its original population still living there today (2008), much of what made Santa Maria great has been destroyed by recent trends: Population growth and loss of jobs have left little room for cultural preservation or outdoor activities like hiking and biking; while new housing developments have preserved downtown businesses and blocks east of State Street as one large shopping district with some excellent restaurants; roads have become less reliable due to traffic congestion so visitors are often limited either to driving into downtown or taking BART/ Muni buses which visit various points within walking distance rather than going out into rural areas where access may be difficult if not impossible even during daylight hours
