Military gift history in Santa Maria, California begins with the USS Pampanito (SSN-696) which arrived in 1944. The ship was donated by the United States Navy and named after the town of Pampanito, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. In 1967, the USS Constitution (CV-4) arrived in Santa Maria from San Francisco and was also donated by the United States Navy. The Constitution was renamed for Santa Maria on December 5th, 1968. It remained here until 1992 when it moved to Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan. The USS Midway (CV-3) arrived in 1984 from San Diego and served as a Naval Support Activity Station here until 1996 when it moved to Guam. It returned to Santa Maria in 1998 and remains here today. The USS Enterprise (CVN-65) is currently stationed at NAS Lemoore, California. This ship is donation from both the United States Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Commandant’s Association of California Pacific fleet who has been providing support for this vessel since 1984. The town of Santa Maria, California is located in the Mojave Desert and it is a small community located about 25 miles east of Las Vegas. The population of Santa Maria was estimated to be about 2,000 people as of the 2010 census. Santa Maria was founded by Spanish colonists in 1848 and it became an incorporated town in 1902. The town has a population of around 100 people today and it is home to a post office, two churches, a fire station, and some businesses. The economy of Santa Maria relies primarily on agriculture and the production of hay, watermelons, cattle, and other commodities. The name "SantaMaria" comes from the Spanish word "santa," which means "holy." In 1848 when the first Spaniards arrived in this area they christened this region San Miguel de Allende because there were many holy places in that part of Mexico where they had been sent to colonize. This name stuck and later shortened to SantaMaria after being adopted by the townspeople. Today's buildings date back to 1902 when the first post office was established in this small community. Reverend Pacheco served as postmaster for over 30 years before he resigned due to health reasons in 1912. He was replaced by Mr. Teague who continued serving until his death in 1936. The second church built here was dedicated on November 15th, 1916 by Bishop Manuel Gomez y Aranda who also served as president pro tempore of California during World War I On July 1st 1912 citizens voted unanimously to incorporation into what would become known as Nevada County during a meeting at the old Methodist Church which stood just outside Oferta Gulch on Main Street where we now operate our business . Today’s building housing both churches dates back to 1937 with additions made subsequent thereto including our current fire station . Other businesses that have operated within our community include Weyers Bakery (closed 2011), Mrs Ferraro’s Confectionery (Closed 2001) & Golden State Pizza (Closed 2009).

One bear became the father of two children while the other became caretaker for an orphanage during World War II. After the war ended, both bears were turned into mascots at an Army post office in Texas. In 1966, Colonel John Milt Pugh ordered all USArmy units across America to celebrate National Military Appreciation Day by giving out morale boosting gifts like radios and vehicles. These gifts were also known as “Post-Apocalyptic Birthday Presents” because most military members didn’t have any physical possessions after society collapsed following Doomsday in 2027 A.D.. The popularity of Post-Apocalyptic Birthday Gifts continued through the 70s and 80s when special forces personnel received thank you cards filled with pictures of their gear and weapons from commanders throughout the service academies they had attended during that time period In 1987, General Motors produced its own version of Post-Apocalyptic Birthday Gifts called “Gift Certificates” which could be redeemed for products from various GM brands including Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac In 1992 General Electric released its own version called "Gift Cards" which could be redeemed for products from GE brands such as electronic equipment, appliances and home heating systems In 1994 Microsoftreleased its own version called "Gift Cards" which could be redeemed for products from Microsoft brands including Xbox360 games console

Santa Maria, California is a small town located in Los Angeles County, California. It was founded in 1853 by Pedro Tejon and his wife María de la Cruz. The town grew around the Rancho San Francisco Adobe, which was built in 1848 by José Micheltorena. Santa Maria became a city on February 14, 1912 when it joined the City of Los Angeles. The first white person to live in Santa Maria was García de Torres y Ruiz, who arrived with his family from Mexico on December 13, 1847. He farming land near present-day downtown SantaMaria and continued to do so until 1850 when he sold his holdings to Manuel Nieto. In 1852, Juan Ponce De León discovered oil at San Fernando Valley and began exploration for wells there. A group of Spanish settlers organized themselves into a company and bought Perez's Rancho Seco from Sanchez for $2,000 on November 17 of that year. They named their new land Señor Padre Antonio Jose Arguelles y Costilla (Father Antonio Gomez Costilla). On December 11 of the same year they started building homes at what is now Capitol Avenue and Market Street. The first house was erected on the corner of Capitol Avenue and Market Street; it burned down in 1865 but was rebuilt two years later as part of the original settlement grid plan developed by Captain John Sutter with help from Mexican landowners northeast of downtown Los Angeles In 1867 José Micheltorena acquired title to 5 acres south of where today’s Main Street crosses Broadway just north of Interstate 5 Micheltorena lived here until his death in 1886 after a long career as banker, rancher (1860-86) then Supervisorof Alhambra * From 1870 through 1888 Arguelles ran an Episcopal mission school serving children living eastward along Santa Monica Boulevard between 2nd & 4th Streets called “La Casa Blanca” or White House School Between 1906-1912 the Municipal Building served as office for Mayor Fletcher Jaffe before becoming City Hall In 1916 Waddell saw potential for development in section east/northwest of centerline centered around Third & Vine streets bounded roughly by Spring Grove Boulevard/Jefferson Blvd., Highland Oaks Boulevard/Ivar Veterans Memorial Drive N., Lankershim Boulevard/Westside Highway nursery residences stretching NW beyond Ivar Blvd., Candlestick Park boundaries being well known then* Waddell commenced construction¶ Area eventually developed into Hollywood Hills neighborhood

In 1912, it became an American dependency following its annexation by the United States. In 1978, SantaMaria voters passed a resolution recognizing its Hispanic heritage and pledging to support various minority groups within their community. The city has since undergone several expansions and renovations, including a major renovation of its infrastructure in 2003 that added new parks, restaurants and entertainment venues.
