In 1924, Bud Weiser learned about shotgun shooting from his friend Jack Elam and decided to become a professional shooter. He started practicing at his home in Selma and soon began winning trophies at various national championships. By 1930, Weiser had won three US Opens with his Remington Model 870 pump-action shotgun. His success led him to start manufacturing his own shotguns under the name “Budweiser” Shotguns Incorporated. During World War II,Selma was instrumental in supporting America’s armed forces by providing them with rifles, handguns, artillery pieces, tanks and more. In 1945, after the war ended, many American gun owners decided they wanted their guns back so they could re-purchase them during peacetime periods! Selma, California is a town in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 7,846 at the 2010 census. It lies on the southern outskirts of San Francisco and is surrounded by the City of Oakland to its south and east. The name Selma comes from the Spanish word "selva" meaning "forest." The first post office in Selma opened on January 16, 1876. The original settlers were white men who purchased land near what is now downtown Selma from Mexican ranchers. They named their community after General César Romero y Peralta (1814-1894), an officer in Mexico's army who had served as Governor of Alta California under Ulysses S. Grant during the American Civil War. In 1881, they changed their name to Selma because of congressional arguments that it would be more likely to find people with similar surnames living near each other in America than anywhere else in Spain or Latin America because of historical connections between Spain and those areas. The early residents mined silver and gold within a few miles of where they lived but little progress was made until 1901 when two brothers named Angus MacDonald started processing silver ore near Point Richmond using a techniques called open-pit mining that has since become standard practice throughout North America. The MacDonalds are credited with helping changeSelma into one of the most significant towns in Coast Hatteras County for both its production and employment opportunities during World War II; later renamed Bay City after them, Selma became one of the most important transportation centers along I-5 between San Francisco and Oakland before becoming known primarily for its black industrial base during this time period as well as its late night entertainment venues such as Club Nokia which still exists today although closed to visitors). During World War II much effort was put into developing seaports along I-5 including developing new docks at Point Richmond Marina & Terminal which allowed large numbers of goods to be discharged daily without having to go through port cities like Sacramento or Stockton; these terminals were also used for training naval aviators prior to combat deployment overseas..
