The shotgun mystery may be solved when it is determined that the firearm given as a gift in 1903 was actually an 1892 Winchester rifle which had been gifted by General George Custer to Mrs. Frisbee on her husband’s behalf on October 14, 1892 when he served in the United States Cavalry during the Sioux War([2]). The rifle has since been located and authenticated by experts[3]. It should also be noted that Soledad is home to one of only two remaining original shotguns manufactured between 1892 and 1916[4], which means that there are many opportunities for firearms enthusiasts throughout California to enjoy some great old guns!

Soledad is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California. It lies on the east side of the San Joaquin River, about south of Bakersfield and north of Fresno. The community was founded in 1892 by three families from Soledad, California: the Rojas family, the Mastrosinos, and the Larios. A post office was established at Soledad in 1893, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1910. The first school in Soledad was built near what is now town center. A second school opened in 1915; it burned down a few years later. In 1918, a third school opened; it also burned down but this time not before it had been used for instruction for six months. In 1924, a fourth school opened; it also burned down but this time not before being used for instruction for five years. In 1932, local residents started an effort to get money to build a new high school; they were successful and the new high school opened its doors in 1935. The old high School building served as both the original highschool and eventually as a community center until 1991 when it became part of a larger development called "The Park". Today there are only two small schools left operating within the original district: one operated by charter schools and one run byUSD public education officials who serve students through Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade Technical High Schools which offer art classes (grades 9-12), agriculture classes (grades 9-12), medical assisting (grades 5-8), construction engineering/ carpentry/ Doane’s 7th grade science class (grades 9-12) as well as many other programs that vary depending on each child’s needs

As California became a state in 1850, its capital was located in Sacramento. The city of Soledad was founded on the Rancho San José de las Palmas y la Isleta, east of Sacramento. The first post office opened in 1852, andSoledad became a town in 1857. In 1863, the Southern Pacific Railroad arrived in Soledad and began to build tracks through the town. This increased businesses and population growth, which led to an increase in property taxes. One solvenator named John Waddell started to collect these taxes from landowners throughout the town. He also lobbied for a school district to be established in Soledad so that children could have access to education. Finally, on December 8th 1870, voters approved the establishment of the school district with $1 per capita tax. The school district quickly grew and soon had six schools: one vocational high school (later renamed Regional High School), two elementary schools (now called Heritage Elementary Schools), and two middle schools (now known as Valley Middle School). By 1923, there were twenty-one students enrolled at each school. With increasing enrollment came more infrastructure needs such as new classrooms, playgrounds, gymnasiums, and extensions for both buses and railways into Canoga Park outside of downtown Soledad limits; which required additional appropriations from taxpayers like John Waddell who continued to collect them even after his death in 1922 due to advanced age at that time In 1951 District 1 went fully integrated into Unified School District 2 when all of southern San Bernardino County moved under SB&I auspices including much of what is now eastern Riverside County including most of what is now eastern Contra Costa County Today there are only 5 remainingElementary Schools left within our old District 1 boundaries while 3 charter schools have replaced our original 6 K-12 public schools
The town of Soledad, California was founded in 1849 by Mexican Americans who came to the area from theMexican state of Baja California. The town became a post office in 1852 and an agricultural center with ranching and farming activities.
