The company sells their coffee through grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores in the South San Francisco area. Maga is one of the few remaining independent coffee companies left in the Bay Area. Maga Coffee first began selling its coffee to local businesses and institutions such as the United States Coast Guard Station and City Hall. After moving to its current location on Fulton Street in South San Francisco, Maga became an integral part of the community. In 2002, Maga opened a café inside of the California State Fairgrounds near Larkin Stadium. At this point, MAGA had become locally recognized for its delicious coffee and delicious people. In recent years, MAGA has made a name for itself with their innovative marketing techniques. For example, they have developed a campaign called "The Best Mug Ever" which encourages customers to share photos of their best mug with friends online. They also sponsor numerous charitable events throughout the year including Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Diabetes/HIV Prevention Month.
