The National Guard in South San Francisco, California was established on November 10th, 1892. The first National Guard unit was raised at Fort Mason and served for one year. In 1893, the 1st Battalion of the Santa Clara Volunteer Cavalry Regiment was organized. This regiment served until 1898 when it was disbanded due to a lack of funding. In 1899, the 2nd Battalion of the Santa Clara Volunteer Cavalry Regiment was organized and served until 1907 when it was disbanded due to budget cuts. The 3rd Battalion of the Santa Clara Volunteer Cavalry Regiment was organized in 1909 and served until 1912 when it also disbanded due to budget cuts. The 4th Battalion of the Santa Clara Volunteer Cavalry Regiment was organized in 1912 and serve until 1915 when it also disbanding due to budget cuts. In 1915, the 5th Battalion of the Santa Clara Volunteer Cavalry Regimentwas Organized and Serviced for One Year with No Continuation Until 1919 When It Was Re-Organized as A Regular Army Unit And Served For Ten Years With No Continuation As Such On December 15th, 1932, an act authorizing formation of a battalion within Headquarters Department (GHQ) United States Army Reserve were passed by Congress which created a battalion known as Company D (National Guard) Of The State Of California At Camp Roberts near Sacramento under commandof Major General George Custer who had been transferred from Infantry Command headquartered at Fort Benning Georgia It Fought In World War II On The Eastern Front And Pacific Coast Company D (National Guard) Was dissolved on October 1st 1950 But Its fragments recombined On January 14th 1951 Under Command Of Captain James J Hogan Youths Brigade Infantry Division From Ft Worth Texas To Serve In Korea Where It Landed On July 25th 1951 Near Pusan Peninsula With participation In Battle For Seoul And Han River Crossing

In 1863, South San Francisco became part of independent California when it merged with Marin County. Today, South San Francisco is one of California’s most prospering cities with an economy that depends heavily on businesses like Google, Apple, Facebook, and Amazon. It also has a diverse population with many residents working in fields such as tech industry or healthcare plays an important role in its economy. However, despite this prosperous state of affairs there are still pockets of poverty throughout the city which have caused tension between rich citizens and poorer ones over inequality within society. There have been efforts made by Mayor London Breed to address these issues but they continue to cause conflict between members of different socioeconomic groups within their city limits

Since its inception, the National Guard has played an essential role in American society both at home and abroad. Today, there are over 324 thousand members Active Duty (including Reserve Component) ready to support our nation's interests when needed most – including readiness for any future conflict or disaster anywhere in the world!
The National Guard has been present in the United States since 1792. The first National Guard unit was raised in Rhode Island on July 4, 1792 and mustered into service on September 3, 1792. In 1825, the 1st Infantry Regiment was authorized as a state militia regiment and mobilized for two years in 1826. On November 25, 1861, the 1st Infantry Regiment re-amalgamated with other regiments to form the 2nd Infantry Battalion of New York State Militia which served until 1865 when it merged with the 2nd Infantry Regiment of Vermont to become the 3rd Infantry Battalion of New York State Militia. The battalion continued to serve until 1898 when it disbanded because of World War I hostilities. In 1921, the regiment was reactivated as part of artillery battery D (2nd) at Fort Wadsworth Army Base south of Newark NJ and became an infantry brigade under command of Commanding Officer Colonel John J. Pershing which duty ended on February 5th, 1945 when brigade was redesignated as Divisional Artillery Brigade and concurrently activated with Task Force 77th Artillery Group under Commander Lieutenant General George S. Patton Jr.. The brigade remained deployed throughout World War II performing anti-aircraft artillery duties in Normandy and Northern France; during Korean War III; Vietnam War I-II; Desert Storm 1990-1991; Operation Restore Hope 1996-1998 and 1999 Kosovo operations after fall of Yugoslavia On October 14th 2006 divisions headquarters ordered all battalions back into full time soldiers status effective immediately with no end date or transition period In 1978 brigades were created numbered 1 thru 9 1st Cavalry Brigade (New York) 2nd Cavalry Brigade (Vermont) 3rd Cavalry Brigade (Nova Scotia) 4th Armored Brigade (Ohio) 5th Armored Brigade (Michigan) 6th Armored Brigade (Alaska) 7th Armored Brigade (New Mexico) 8th Armored Brigade(Oklahoma) 9th Armored Brigdey(Texas)(activated Jul 96 from old 4 th Armd Div Battery C & E FAIRY HILL AFB Joint Ops Reserve
South San Francisco, California was founded in 1849 as a small settlement on the southern coast of Point Reyes Station, just south of San Francisco. The town grew rapidly, and by 1878 it had reached a population of 10,000. By 1900 South San Francisco’s population was over 20,000. The early years of South San Francisco were difficult. The region was young and unprovided with natural resources, so businesses struggled to survive. However, the town became known for its nightlife and its friendly people. It eventually developed into one of the most vibrant areas on the Peninsula. In recent years South San Francisco has experienced some significant changes. In 2000 it become the home to Silicon Valley’s first downtown district – a popular location for business and cultural events. Additionally, South San Franciscans have come to appreciate their city’s natural beauty – including its stunning coastline and rugged hillsides.
The area now known as South San Francisco was first settled in the late 1800s by Californians of Mexican descent. As the population increased, the region became increasingly economically and racially diverse. In 1951, South San Francisco became a city and in 1963, it annexed part of Oakland.
