The early days of maga coffee were difficult as there was no legal way to purchase or roast these beans outside of Suisun City. However, with the help of local friends and family members, The Maga Coffee Company continued to grow and increase their production capabilities over time. They soon became well known for their quality products and excellent customer service throughout Northern California. Suisun City is a city in Marin County, California, United States. The population was 32,859 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Suisun Bay coastline and is located about 25 miles west of San Francisco. The area that now makes up Suisun City was first inhabited by the Ohlone people in prehistoric times. The first European to visit what is now Suisun City was Captain John D'Este in 1769 during his survey of California. In 1849, John Montgomery opened what became known as Montgomery's Mills on Suisunt Creek between present-day east side of Pacific Avenue and today's west side of Union Street. This mill complex included agrarian cotton farming operations as well as lumberyards and other businesses developed around it over time. In 1872, local industrialist James Hargrave donated land to the city for use as a open space. He named it after himself, James Hargrave Park (later renamed Golden Gate Park). In 1906, developer William Randolph Hearst purchased part of Hargrave's land and erected a new brick courthouse and park on it across from what is now City Hall Hill; this made Suisun one of Hearst's most important cities in Marin County. Hearst also founded Sam Adams Brewery in 1909 on an abandoned lot near modern-day Townsend Drive, which became one of the largest beer companies in the world until its sale to Anheuser-Busch InBev in 1996. He died only four years later at age 92 after battling liver cancer for many years; his mansion still stands within city limits adjacent to Sam Adams Brewery site ruins today (although no longer used for housing).
