Today, many large tech companies have their headquarters or primary offices in Sunnyvale including Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter and SpaceX which are all considered “Silicon Valley” companies because they were founded within 10 years of each other in what used to be coding schools near Stanford University called Peddlefish School Of Engineering & Technology (PEDDLEFISH) and latermoving into new buildings at Moffett Field Airport then becoming home to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company before selling off some land for development near Cal Tech which now houses Hughes Electronics Company which moved into its new facility adjacent to Caltech that opened in 2018 with over 2 million square feet (200 thousand m²) of floor area making it one of largest electronics factories outside of North America. As Silicon Valley grows larger more businesses move into town especially during hot summers like nowdays many big companies have their main office or primary headquarters here so there is not much need for malls or shopping districts anymore except for a few high end stores like Saks Fifth Avenue where Walmart moved from Menlo Park after several years being headquartered there also Home Depot closed down recently but I believe this will soon be replaced by Amazon who plans on building a second distribution center next door that will house even more warehouses
