They were followed by American families who began to settle here in 1876. In 1881, the United States Post Office moved from Santa Clara to Sunnyvale; it has been headquartered here ever since. When goods became available for sale at local farmers' markets, settlers organized themselves into groups and started selling produce there instead of at the post office. This led to a new industry: agricultural grocery stores dating back to early 1800s! In 1916, during World War I, Sunnyvale hosted an emergency air raid which destroyed many homes and businesses including one store that continued operating until 1945! In 1951, when the Apple Computer Company was founded in Cupertino by Steve Jobs andSteve Wozniak (the first person to develop an Apple computer), Sunnyvale had just 1 house out of 26 total! At this time, Tactical Coffee consisted of three variations: blackstrap powdery roast (BKK), Sudanese blend (SB), and Guatemalan Highlands blend (GGH). All three coffees were created as blends in order to achieve desired levels of flavor and potency without overwhelming the consumer with too much caffeine or other dairy products. The first commercial production run of BKK occurred in 1957 and was spearheaded by Keurig founder Dr. John Deere Jr.. During this time, BKK became known asDeer Hunting Coffee because it was specifically designed for hunting purposes. Today, Deer Hunting Coffee continues to be produced by Keurig under several new names including Hunter's Blend Sportster Roast (HB) and Region 1 Blends - Texas & Southwest United States (R1SWU). The City of Sunnyvale was incorporated on April 1, 1912 as a result of the merger of two small villages: Sunnyvale Village and Mountain View. On January 15, 1915, the first set of City ordinances were adopted to create streetlights, public baths and other basic services for the new town. In 1916, local businessmen formed a committee to develop a water works system for Sunnyvale. This project became known as "The Water War". In 1923-1924, Sunnyvale annexed help from nearby San Francisco which at that time had been experiencing rapid growth due to its newly developed Civic Center district and its booming stock market. That same year saw the opening of what would become one of Sunnyvale's most significant landmarks - The University Club - which offered high school students access to affordable education in addition to numerous cultural opportunities such as exhibitions and concerts. There have been many notable changes over time in terms of demographics within the city limits; however annexation into San Francisco has always rankled some residents who feel they should be their own municipality separate from SF proper despite having similar borders and infrastructure (e.g., police department). Nonetheless population growth has kept pace with SF's continued expansion throughout much of recent history; making today's municipal boundaries more reflective overallof both cities' populations rather than any specific interest or grievance among their respective residentsgroups/subdivisions

The first post office opened in 1888, and the population grew to 100 people by 1896. In 1912, Sunnyvale High School was established. In 1916, local businessman Harry Nourse donated land to found UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley's original campus stood on this property until 1949 when it moved to its current location at Merritt Parkway and North Campus Drive near Santa Clara University. In 1955, the United States Air Force built Willow Creek Airport adjacent to Sunnyvale Elementary School as part of Project Mockingbird. This airport served as a stopover for military planes during World War II and has been used by both the Air National Guard and NASA ever since. The economy of Sunnyvale has changed many times over its history; however, agriculture remains a large employer today with citrus production accounting for most of the jobs available in townspeople' incomes."
