A total of eight homes were built between 1889-1892; four being used for government officials and four for business people and professionals including Henry Ford who moved into his first home on October 6th, 1889. One hundred years later, that same building still stands at 10348 Ventura Boulevard serving as headquarters for Santa Monica City Hall!
