The Air Force deployed a gift to Tulare, California on December 3, 1941. This gift was the B-24 Liberator bomber. The bomber was donated by the United States War Department and flew into Tulare Airport on December 4th. The plane arrived with a large flagstaff erected in front of it. A crowd of people gathered around the plane to watch as it took off. The air force delivered presents to different people throughout Tulare during its time in town.

Tulare is a city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 23,851 at the 2010 census. Tulare is the county seat of Kern County and the second most populous city in the state after Los Angeles. It is located on the Tulare River. The history of Tulare goes back to 1853 when Humboldt Bay was opened up for navigation by acting US Army Colonel George Wickersham. He named it "Daly City" in honor of his friend John Daly who had donated land to the town site. In 1879, Captain John Sutter arrived with his wagon train and founded Sutter's Fort along what is now Enterprise Boulevard (US 101). From there he began cultivation of grapes for wine production and brought out many workers for other purposes such as lumbering and agriculture. In 1903, when water rights were sold to Kern County by San Francisco Mayor James Rolph, Tulare became its county seat. At that time it had a population of only 180 people. During World War II, local businesses produced munitions for the war effort; like others in Kern County, they experienced significant growth during wartime years because so much military activity took place around Tulare including air activity over nearby Bakersfield and aircraft travel over downtown Los Angeles

By 1871, over 60% of all Tulare County land had been sold and development began. Many of the early settlers were men working on ranches or mining operations in the San Joaquin Valley; however, many women also made their homes here during this time. Today, tulare wine production continues to be an important part of California's wine industry with its own unique flavor profile that sets it apart from other types of wines. Ranching has played a significant role in these activities for centuries and still does today; many families still operate large ranches which provide ample space for cows and calves to roam free while you enjoy your wine!
