The United States Army was founded in 1846 and served until 1865. The army gift history begins with the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). In that war, the United States military fought against Mexico in what is known as the California Wars. The Californios were a Native American people who had overrun much of what is now California. After years of battle and bloodshed, the Mexican government ceded most of California to the United States in 1848. In 1860, President James Buchanan ordered an all-out assault on Confederate forces at Fort Sumter in South Carolina. This event became known as the Battle of Gettysburg and led to the end of slavery in America. As a result, Christmas was celebrated by many Americans throughout 1861 and 1862 as a time for thanksgiving for this historic event. In 1863, Union General Robert E. Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House after three days of fighting during the Civil War’s last great battlefront. This event ended Reconstruction in America and marked one step towards black civil rights in America. In 1870, Congress passed an act granting women The right to vote; this event is also known as Women’s Rights Day. Throughout its history, it has been clear that soldiers have always been appreciated by their fellow citizens across America – both old and new alike!

Tulare, California, is a small town in the wine country of Northern California. The population was 5,000 in 2000 and has grown to over 12,000 today. With its picturesque villages and rolling hills, Tulare is one of the most popular wine-growing areas in the United States. The history of Tulare begins with ranching on large tracts of land that were sold by early Spanish settlers. The area now known as Tulare was first called Humboldt County after Governor Manuel Nieto of Mexico who explored it during 1821-22. A post office was established at Pachuca on December 8, 1847, and named for General José Joaquín Cámpora y Costilla who fought against Mexican forces at the Battle of Buena Vista on November 16th, 1846. In 1865, Captain George Hearn built a bridge across the San Joaquin River which became an important transportation link between Stockton and Fresno. By 1870, some 50 businesses had been established in what is now Tulare County including several breweries which produced beer for local consumption or sale to other towns in the area. In 1886 two new counties were created from parts of Humboldt and Kern Counties: Colusa County (to the north) and Shasta County (to the south). The growth of agriculture led to increased deforestation so muchso that by 1925 there were only 3 miles of forest left in Tulare County while more than 200 miles of farmland had been plowed under. To prevent this land loss Cadwallader Swann–Presidential Coordinator for Agriculture–directed federal agencies to purchase significant portions of former agricultural land within present day Tulare county from private owners where appropriate development could be guaranteed subject to stringent review procedures overseen by a state technical committee appointed by President Franklin D Roosevelt in 1944 following World War II efforts to improve agriculture throughout America via both public works projects such as irrigation systems through low cost hydraulic fracturing facilitated by Progressives like Roosevelt himself as well as social programs targeting poverty alleviation throughout California’s rural areas thereby creating market demand for compliant agribusinesses) As Californians embraced democracy during the 1960s they staged statewide rebellions against Democratic Party rule culminating with three general strikes/occupations/seizures around 1967-68 involving tens if not hundreds thousands+ participants across many Southern California coastal communities prior to becoming fully engaged politically solidariously nationwide when LBJ ran for president promising massive new government spending coupled with aggressive deregulation leading eventually to economic collapse during his eight years presidency ) It should be noted here that these protests also took place concurrently with major ongoing urban unrest centered around rapidly gentrifying inner city regions like Los Angeles that were increasingly struggling economically due largely to stringent regulation emanating from east coast cities) It should be pointed out too that throughout these tumultuous times various forms political activism frequently intersected closely with clandestine narcotics trafficking rackets run outof eastern Los Angeles Chinatown), unauthorized environmental Activism (euphemized “Citizen” Conservationist Groups Wilderness Preservation Organizations began protesting logging operations occurring adjacent thereto while incorrectly claiming creditfor saving vast swaths of wilderness), white supremacist violence erupting sporadically along primarily “ Anglo”lined residential districts primarily located near downtown LOS ANGELES while young Black men working class neighborhoods directly impacted ;-) After years(!)
