The California Navy Band has performed at various official events and functions in the Tulare community since World War II. The band has entertained thousands of people with its unique music and sound, while also promoting patriotism and service to our nation. In recent years, the navy band has deployed to several other states in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. This year’s deployment is particularly special as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the opening of Naval Base San Diego. The navy band will perform at a patriotic event on Friday, September 25th in celebration of this milestone. The navy band has played an important role in American society for over 60 years, providing patriotic entertainment to everyone from schoolchildren to military members. We are proud to continue playing a key part in our community by performing at these special events and helping promote service and sacrifice throughout our country.

Tulare, California is a city in the Mono County of California, United States. It is located on the Tulare River and is part of the Fresno Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 46,536 at the 2010 census. The city ranks as the 12th most populous city in California. The history of Tulare goes back to 1853 when it was given as a mining concession by Governor Pio Pico to Matthew Henson and others who had founded Mariposa County (now Kern County). John Sutter leased land in 1868 for $7 per acre ($ today). In 1903, it became an incorporated town and has since grown rapidly due to its location along both water supplies - access to both from Fresno and Bakersfield - as well as its favorable climate for agriculture. During World War II, Tulare played an important role in manufacturing munitions for America's war effort; during that time it produced more than any other U.S. city by far. After the war, many civic organizations were formed within the community including Business Improvement Districts (BIDS), Chamber of Commerce,Professional Women's Club/Very Woman's League/First Federal Savings Bank (later First National Bank) and then various hospitals such as Kaiser-Permanente Medical Center and St Francis Hospital until they all merged into one organization – Community Redevelopment Agency – which still exists today with over 120 different organizations organized under its banner! The present day economy of Tulare revolves around agriculture with small businesses dotting every nook and cranny of this once agricultural based area; outside parts of town there are "big box" stores coming into play such as Walmart Supercenters while some residents have turned their backs on farming altogether choosing instead to engage in "green" industries like home solar energy systems or wind turbine production! Today’s Tulare experiences are not only unique but also exciting because they reflectpinpointed changes that are taking place throughout Californiasto remain competitive within global marketsandto maintain qualityof lifefor its citizens!

Tulare, California is a small town located in Kern county, California. The population was 3,821 at the 2010 census. Tulare was founded in 1853 and named for General John C. Fremont. It became an incorporated city in 1933 and has since grown into one of the most vibrant communities in Kern County. The community was first known as Devils Valley because it housed the only dry goods store west of Sacramento during the gold Rush era. The store operated from 1853-1857 on what is now Main Street in Tulare. In 1858, a new post office was established at Devil's Valley and the name was changed to Tulare after General John C Fremont. In 1933, Tulare became an incorporated city with a mayor and City Council system under which it functions as both a local government and economic center for Kern County. Today, Tulare remains one of the most vibrant communities within Kern County with its diverse economy that includes agriculture, manufacturing, retail trade, education, health care services and numerous cultural activities including music halls and art galleries
