Turlock, California is a small town located in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. The population was 9,816 as of the 2010 census. The name comes from the Spanish word "turlock" meaning "locks." The community began as a farming and ranching town in 1887 on the east side of what is now Interstate 15. It grew rapidly during World War II because of its position at an important supply point for military troops and their vehicles moving through the area. After the war, Turlock became a bedroom community for Los Angeles. In recent years, however, it has been losing population to development and other towns nearby. Today, Turlock retains some elements of its agricultural past with fruit orchards and dairy farms dotting the landscape. A few scattered businesses still operate but most residents are self-employed or work outside the town limits. Most notable among these locally owned businesses is First National Bank which remains one of the largest banks in southern California despite having merged with four other institutions over time. Other significant businesses include Pasadena's Main Street USA store which closed in 2006 but reopened as an online store in 2011, and Scottrade Center (now known as Staples) on Industrial Road which opened in 1984 and remains one of downtown LA's main shopping areas today.

By 1805 AD, Dutch sailors had reached Java island where they discovered a wild species of tree called Theobroma cacao (Cacao) seedlings were growing abundantly without any help from man or nature. This discovery led to the development of java green tea culture where plantation owners could buy these seeds directly from local farmers rather than purchasing expensive Indian tea bags that were imported into Holland every year! Japanese merchants followed suit in 1828 when they discovered an Indonesian variety of trees known as Jawa Bali (Javanese Mountain Apple) while exploring Tutuila Island near Hawaii! These plantations produced high quality Java coffees that quickly became popular all over Asia! Soon afterwards other countries such as China started importing Java coffees too! In 1830 AD Turkish merchants travelled through Arabia looking for rare spices and came across some mountain apples growing near Mecca city limits – they named these apples Finca Koffee ( Estate Coffee). When they tasted this unusual fruit they realized its potential as a source of valuable caffeine which led them to start buyingestate Coffees frombin Laden brothers who grew some 5 hectares(15 acres)of these exotic trees on their farm at Bukit Jalil area outside Riyadh during 1932-1933!! Arab world was getting interested in new technology then so Bin Laden Brothers decided to send their truckloads OF COFFEE TO WASHINGTON D C FOR WORLD EXposition IN 1933!!! Turlock, California is a small town in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 7,468 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of the Inland Empire and around the corner from Fontana. Turlock has been inhabited by Native Americans for over 10,000 years. A mission was built here in 1847 by Father Francisco Santos and Mission San Gabriel Arcangela was founded nearby in 1851. The first post office called "Turlock" was established in 1857. The name "Turlock" comes from two possible sources: either an Indian word meaning "place where two branches join," or "the place where the water runs clear." The first Europeans to visit this area were members ofCaptain James Cook's HMS Endeavour who landed here on November 26, 1769 during his Second Voyage of Discovery. They named it Euston Island after Captain Euston of HMS Beagle who had explored parts of South America previous year. In 1872, William Harkness opened what would become Turlock's only grocery store and general store which lasted until 1952 when a new grocery store opened down the street with more than 100 items including beer and wine! That same year also saw the opening of El Toro Municipal Airport which would serve as a key landmark in local aviation history. In 1957, Allis-Chalmers became a licensee to sell automobile tires here at their original facility on Main Street just south of Highway 85 near today’s Depot Square shopping center! In 1960, Interstate 5 was built through this area making it easier for motorists to get to work; all businesses along Main Street closed with few exceptions (Grocery stores included) that continued to operate out of their old locations until they closed altogether in 1984 when state Route 91 came through town and took those businesses away too! Today there are only a few foundations remaining from these buildings that once housed many local businesses such as A&P Supermarket/Gas Station #2 that still stands next door to its original building and numerous other smaller businesses like Girdersweep Cafe & Bakery across from PGA Golf Course which remain unchanged even though property lines have changed many times since then! On July 15th 1969 Turlocks residents commemorated Veteran's Day by holding an annual parade serving as a show of appreciation for military service throughout southern California sponsored by Veterans Affairs Department Regional Service Office West Hollywood staff member Mrs./Dr.(Jenny)? Alford who coordinated parade route & organization with City Manager Mr.?Edmund L?Goodall personally leading procession downtown supplemented by Mayor Jimmie Meeks (LAPD). At present City Hall marks 1st anniversary commemoration plaque inside courtyard wall next to former Administration Building
