Small batch coffee is a term used for coffee that is made in small batches. This means that the coffee was not roasted and packaged in large quantities like larger roasters. Instead, it was brewed and processed over a shorter period of time, typically less than twelve hours. As a result, small batch coffee has a lower quality control and can be more inconsistent than larger-batch coffee. This inconsistency can be seen in the flavor profile of small batch coffees as well. In 1912, Harry Chandler bought 1,000 acres (500 hectares) of land east of Upland for $5 per acre. He built an empire of citrus crops and hotels that became known as The Chandler Estate. In 1938, he sold all his holdings to Dwight D Eisenhower for $100 million dollars. Upland has experienced many changes throughout its history including being elevated to city status in 1958 and becoming part of the City Of Fresno on January 1, 1960 after voting by referendum. On December 13th, 2016, voters passed a proposal to create a new city government with its own police department and budget separate from that of Fresno County – making Upland an independent city within Fresno County until annexation into any future city government if and when such an event occurs

The early residents used irrigation systems to water their crops, but eventually they developed more permanent irrigation systems using wells and canals. These systems allowed for larger production than ever before, and helped make Upland one of California’s leading agricultural communities during its early years. During World War II, much of Upland was destroyed by bombing raids from Japan. However, many homes and businesses survived the bombings and continue to be used today as commercial properties or housing units.

Upland, California is a census-designated place in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 973 at the 2010 census. Upland is located on the central coast of Kern County and is bordered to the south by old Bakersfield and east by Monterrey.
