The Vallejo Air Force Base has been a major provider of military and gift services to the community since its establishment in 1942. The base has an extensive history of deploying gifts to localorians, dignitaries, and government officials throughout California. The first air force deployment at Vallejo AFB was on December 8th, 1942 when the United StatesAAF delivered over 1,000 presents to Spanish generals and officers during World War II. In addition to gifts, the air force also produced mementos of service for members who had died in the war. These mementos include bronze eagles that represent valor and sacrifice, coins honoring pilots and enlisted men who lost their lives in combat, and postcards from home that shared memories of loved ones serving in the military. Since then, Vallejo AFB has become one of the busiest USAF bases worldwide with deployments including operations in Desert Storm (1991), Kosovo (1999), Iraq (2003-2004), Afghanistan (2008-2009), disaster relief efforts after devastating wildfires in Southern California (2010), Operation Neptune’s Spear – which was conducted during Exercise Pacific Eagle 2009 – which saw fighter jets fly over North Korea as part of US NATO strategy to test nuclear deterrence capabilities; as well as support for exercises such as Joint Chiefs missions overseas. Throughout these deployments there have been many unique gifts given by members of our Armed Forces to local residents. Vallejo is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 96,653 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Contra Costa County and home to most of the University of California, Berkeley campus. Vallejo was founded by Mexicans in 1847 as Rancho Vallejo de la Cueva. The name derives from Spanish words meaning " Valley of the Rocky Mountain". The history of Vallejo goes back to 1847 when Mexico acquired land east of San Francisco Bay Area including what is now Contra Costa County. In 1849, Edmond James Olmsted purchased Rancho Vallejo for $10 per acre ($220 per km²). After years of struggle, Olmsted's team created a road through the dense redwoods and wildwood that led to today's downtown area. In 1915, during World War I munitions plants were established in nearby Orinda and production began on an ammunition shipbuilding yard called Mare Island Ammunition Corporation which still employs many workers today (Maritime Administration - Cal/OSHA). The plant produced over 1 million rounds of ammunition a day until it closed in 1971 due to lack of funding. Today there are several small businesses located around Mare Island which produce local goods using salvaged materials from the closure including: furniture restoration shops; woodworking schools; and an arts & crafts store specializing in vintage items from before World War II. During Prohibition period (1912-1918), Vallejo became known as "the drunken capital of America" because much alcohol was smuggled into the state from Mexican breweries under false pretenses. Many people who had made money smuggling liquor ended up with ruined lives or Prison terms as a result. In 1930 San Francisco earthquake destroyed many buildings including those belonging to Mare Island Ammunition Corporation but no loss occurred within the city limits due to public works being hastily built without proper funding or specification for soil conditions resulting in some very severe cracks throughout downtown prior to reclamation by City fathers once liquored tanks were placed within publicly accessible areas (). The crack problem only worsened after prohibition expired and prices for gasoline went up 50%. However this did nothing to solve traffic congestion caused by continued illegal alcohol sales near bridges over Suisun Bay that could be accessed only by boat or bike messenger service! In fact one can still find these services today especially during special events such as fireworks shows!

Vallejo, California is a city in Marin County, California, United States. The population was 58,521 at the 2010 census. Vallejo has been inhabited by Native Americans for over 4,000 years and was originally called Pomo Point. It became part of the Spanish Empire in 1602 as part of San Francisco Bay Area. The first European to visit the area was Gaspar de Portolà on April 2, 1769 while exploring the bay area for Spain. In 1846, Vallejo became a town under Mexican rule when it was ceded to America by Mexico following its victory in the Mexican-American War. It was then annexed by California during the 1906 statehood movement. Afterward it continued to grow rapidly due to its access to natural resources and its location near freeways and ports. The city reached its peak development around 1960 with an estimated population of 100,000 people. However, since then Vallejo's growth has slowed significantly as a result of many economic problems such as high crime rates and lack of jobs opportunities for young people.
The Vallejo Peninsula was first settled by the Ohlone people in about 10,000 BC. The area became part of Spanish California during the 16th century and was known as Rancho San Francisco. In 1821, after Mexico Acquisition of California, the United States acquired California from Spain via the Guadalupe Treaty. The land on which Vallejo now stands was part of Rancho Santa Clara de Monterey Mexican land grant given to Francisco Palou in 1836. The town formed in 1851 when a group of soldiers who had deserted their sergeant-major's company founded what is today Vallejo. A post office called San Pablo opened in 1852, and the name changed to Vallejo in 1863. From 1865 until 1906, it was part of Contra Costa County. On February 14, 1906, President William McKinley signed an Executive Order creating 52 townships within Contra Costa County and giving them autonomy under their own governments with power to levy taxes and make laws without interference from county government officials. As a result of this order, much of the agricultural production that had been done within Contra Costa County for generations stopped because it would have been difficult for these new townships to provide enough jobs for those who wanted to farm there. On November 2, 2006 residents voted by referendum to become an independent city with its own governance structure and budgeting system
