The Vallejo Coffee Company was founded in 1895 by John S. McLaughlin and Charles A. Stevenson. The company became a division of the larger Paley's Coffee Corporation in 1919. In 1951, the Vallejo Coffee Company merged with the nearby San Francisco coffee company, Pacifica, to form the first major co-operative coffee industry in California.

Vallejo is a small town in the East Bay of San Francisco that was once known as one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is now a largely unrecognizable city, with an economy that depends largely on its large military and defense industries. Still, Vallejo has managed to maintain some of its classic characteristics, such as its picturesque waterfront neighborhoods and wide open spaces. The city also contains some very interesting historical sites, such as the Presidio of Monterey and the Mission Dolores. The first Europeans to arrive in Vallejo were Spanish Franciscans who founded the Mission Santa Clara de Asis in 1777. The mission was soon abandoned, but it served as a point of reference for inhabitants of nearby Portolà before finally being destroyed by fire in 1834. In 1836, Mexican settlers arrived and began building settlements around what would become Vallejo. The first families to reside in what is now Vallejo arrived from various parts of Mexico City and Zacatecas. By 1840, there were over 100 residents living in what is now ValleJO. In 1846, American soldiers under General Manuel Micheltorena invaded California while still under Mexican control. After crossing the state line into California they began plundering whatever they could find including church properties and homes near San Francisco. Major landowners throughout California appealed to President Polk for help against this militaristic force but received no response. Consequently, Micheltorena decided to march his army all the way down into California without caring about native populations which had already been struggling through hard times due to mass immigration from Europe during this time period (Foucault 1990). This event would mark one of history’s greatest tragedies as many people died or were captured by General Micheltorena’s forces during his raid across California (Lopez-Reyes 1998). Vallejo, California is a city in San Joaquin County, California, United States. The population was 21,241 at the 2010 census. Vallejo was founded on October 10, 1847 by Father Francisco Xavier Chavez and Mission San José de Vallejo missionaries. It became a town on December 3, 1851. The original Polo Grounds were located in what is now downtown Vallejo. In 1909 the new Globe Theater was built and quickly became one of the largest movie theaters in the world. The town was originally named after José Moreno Vallejo y Costilla (1786-1861), an Andalusian general who fought under Spanish General Antonio López de Santa Anna during Mexican–American War. In 1940 it changed its name to honor Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of his "New Deal". The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are located just south of Vallejo on the Pacific Ocean's surface

The area that is now Vallejo was first inhabited by the Ohlone people. The Ohlone were a Native American tribe that lived on the Bay Area of California. In 1821, the United States acquired land in what is now Vallejo from Spain. The American military built Fort Point at the mouth of San Francisco Bay and named it after General James K. Polk, who was then U.S. president. The fort served as a military post until 1846, when it was abandoned due to disease and wars with Mexico. In 1849, the U.S.-Mexico War ended with Mexican victory and Mexico took over Fort Point. As part of this treaty, Mexico ceded ownership of tracts of land in present-day Vallejo to the United States for $3 million dollars plus interest payments every year for 50 years! In 1862, during the American Civil War, Vallejo became an important port due to its location at the mouth of San Francisco Bay and because it had been used by both sides for shipping goods and munitions between California and points eastward. This port also became an important manufacturing center thanks to its access to resources like coal and lumber which were necessary for making warships and other war materiel. However, by 1865, following Confederate victories at Bancroft Mill in Fremont County and Appomattox Court House in Virginia, most of Vallejo had fallen into Union hands; however, few city residents surrendered or left before April 1865 when Union General John Atherton burned down most of downtown (the only significant building remaining). Vallejo's heyday as an industrial center ended abruptly after World War II when large amounts of industry shifted away from California due to competition from states such as Texas and Michigan; however, some new businesses have continued to operate in Vallejo since then including healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente Healthcare System (KPHC) which has moved several thousand employees onto Oceanside Boulevard since 2007; valleejoggers/community organizer Ricardo Martinez founded Movimiento en Común (MOC), a social justice organization based out of his home on Saturday mornings since 2006;[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] [9][10], one block south off Broadway along Ocean Ave., is home to Coyote Hills Golf Course,[11], just past Joes Ferry Rd., off Airport Blvd., there is a new housing development called "Prairie Creek" being developed by developer Michael Parsons dating back to early 2013 - this may be another indication thatValley Heights will become more populated than ever before with high-rise buildings
