Victorville is a small city in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 18,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Victorville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first coffeehouses opening up in Victorville were called the Gourmet Coffee House and Café and were owned and operated by Mr. Edward Jansen and his wife Mrs. Edna Browning. They opened their business on Main Street in 1923. In 1932, the Jansen's opened a new coffee house called 'The Coffee Spot'. This coffee shop had a bakery on- premise which made pastries such as croissants, doughnuts, muffins, etc., as well as coffee drinks such as espresso or Dutch cocoa milk teas (made with roasted beans instead of ground). In 1964 Mr. Don Freeman bought 'The Coffee Spot' from the Jansen's family and continued to run it until 1971 when he sold it to John Nieves who ran it until 1984 when he sold it to Dick Soares who continued to run it until 1992 when it was purchased by Jeffery Pacheco who reopened it under the name 'Victor Valley Coffee Company' in 1994.

The name "Victorville" comes from Wacomah Creek which flows through the city and its agricultural area. The first post office in Victorville was established on December 10, 1881, by Leland Stanford and named for General Arthur A. Victor, who had fought in Mexican War and been a lieutenant general during the American Civil War. The present day downtown area was developed around 1915 when J P Morgan built a large estate here as his winter home. In 1923, General Electric Company moved its headquarters to Victorville after being founded in Schenectady, New York City. In 1939 General Motors Corporation moved its corporate offices from Flint Michigan to Victorville after purchasing land here for $2 million that would later become GM's largest assembly plant outside of America. At this time there were only three other companies with their own plants larger than GM's: Ford Motor Company with four plants; Chrysler Corporation with five plants; and Volkswagen AG with six plants (one of which was located at Bendix Air Force Base). As can be seen in table 1 above most major economic events throughout history have taken place right around or within about 50 miles of Sacramento County including: mass migrations (the Gold Rush), technological revolutions (the dawn of digital technology), global conflicts (World War II and the Korean War), etc... There are also many smaller towns/cities within reach including Acton Unified School District #5 south of town near Arvin Lake as well as Radford Heights Elementary School just east of town on Highway 299 between Acton and Rialto valleys which house ethnic Cambodian refugees fleeing communist Cambodia during the years 1975-1979 while living among us under various temporary legal statuses such as legal permanent residents or refugees/asylum seekers... In all likelihood it will take many more decades before we finally understand what happened here – one step at a time!

During this time period catered restaurants also began using gourmet coffee in order to create unique menus that appealed to a more personal palate than what might be found at traditional establishments. It wasn't until the 1990s that truly internationalized gourmet coffee became a reality with several notable brands starting up in Europe (e notably Kaffe Rheinland) while others continued production within countries such as Indonesia (Jakarta Coffee). Since then there have been dozens of new brands launched across many different regions throughout the world with an ever expanding global market for premium bean sourced beverages.
