The last revolver design released by WASC was called the “Texas Avenger” which featured 7 chambers and 14 rounds per magazine—this gun was also chambered in 8mm (0.) caliber but used Taurus Ammunition Incorporated surplus reloadable brass cases manufactured during World War II instead of black powder cartridges like those used by Smith & Wesson and Colt Firearms Company). Wasco is a city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 16,564 at the 2010 census.wasco is located on the San Joaquin River about 30 miles (48 km) east of Bakersfield and 120 miles (193 km) west of Sacramento. In 1868, George Hearn incorporated the town as a village with a population of 100 citizens. In 1870s saw rapid growth due to irrigation projects and industry: cattle ranching became dominant while small mills began production of flour, cheese, lumber and other products. However, during World War II many businesses closed because of prohibition; however most reopened after repeal in 1945. The current downtown area was built around 1950 when the new county seat was moved from Bakersfield to Wasco for economic reasons On July 9th 1944 a magnitude 6.7 earthquake hit northern California killing over 20 people and injuring 150 others including many prominent business leaders such as banker Averell Harriman and oilman Harold Ickes . Aftermath left behind extensive damage which would take more than 50 years to fully assess but which included segments of downtown Wasco destroyed or severely damaged . Many local businesses remain closed today as reconstruction continues into the 21st century

Wascos are an agricultural community located in Wasco, California. The name is derived from the Wascacum Creek which flows through the community. The Wascos were first settled in 1881 by John A. Nugent and his family. They built a small cabin on the creek bank and began to grow crops. In 1895, they hired George Stephenson to build a road through their community so that they could sell their vegetables to local farmers. In 1909, the Nugent family sold their farm to Harry Henson and his wife Alice. They started to grow fruits and vegetables and also formed a cooperative society to market their products. The Hensons expanded their operation into other areas of the county and eventually became one of the largest fruit growers in California. In 1929, they sold all of their land within Wasco limits to Harry Fenton for $1 million dollars.
