In total more than 2 million individual items lay confiscated without any semblance of due process: books, clothes, tools & machines… everything! At least four thousand men died while awaiting court hearings related thereto at various camps located throughout Western United States… An estimated 120 acres east of downtown LA Memorial Coliseum became known as “The Ghetto” following WWI hysteria over possible reopening thereof by Germans should hostilities resume thereabouts…. Ultimately just 10 acres remained undeveloped adjacent west side Cemetery which still exists today…..As part of WWII defense preparations against attack from China/Taiwan our city fathers decided that we would become an upper-middle class community like Burbank if it could be done without becoming victim status quo ante…… Returnees from WWII brought ideas for a variety of cultural activities such as art shows & festivals etc., which led eventually to establishment & growth of West Covina Municipal Arts District…………Many talented Indo-American artists gravitated towards this district over time………………………………….TodayWest Covina remains one Of Southern California's Most Diverse Cities With A Buffet Of Cultural Events And Opportunities
