The aircraft arrived at Edwards Air Force Base on December 3rd and began its maiden flight on December 5th. On January 1st 1947, the first passenger took off from Edwards AFB and flew to Sacramento, California. The plane journeyed until it reached its final destination in Westminster on January 15th. The Boeing 727-200 Jet Airliner Aircraft was donated by Boeing Company. It is one of the most unique gifts ever sent to an American city during World War II. It served as part of the United States Air Force's airlift service during the war years and played an important role in transporting troops and supplies throughout California.

Westminster is a small city in Inyo County, California, United States. It lies on the border of Kern and Mono Counties and is the location of both Westminster Abbey and the University of Southern California. The population was 10,859 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in what would become Westminster was George Hearn who arrived in 1857. He named his new town after himself – George Town – because he had been appointed as commissioner for Indian Affairs by President James Buchanan. The town post office was established in 1865, but no mail ever reached it because of the distance from San Francisco. A west-to-east railroad line was built through Westminster in 1875 and made it possible for residents to send packages directly to their friends and families back home. In 1911, Henry Jorgenson bought land adjacent to present day downtown from John Sutter for $2 million dollars ($). Jorgenson planned to build a large rancho called Los Nietos which would include a large artificial lake that could be used for fishing, swimming, boating, etc., as well as an amusement park called Six Flags Park (later King's Dominion Park) across from downtown on newly acquired land east of Broadway Avenue. However, due to World War I shortages of materials such as lumber and steel, Jorgenson never completed his project even though it cost him millions of dollars more than he expected to make money from it; instead he sold off most of his holdings within two years following the war's end. In 1922 oilman Edward Montague founded Midland Petroleum Corporation with some friends including banker Milton Friedman (what is now known as Montague Partners) in order to drill for oil beneath Kern Valley near where later Interstate 5 would be built. Topographical drawings done at that time showed that there were potentially valuable deposits under Westminster if proper techniques were utilized; however Drillers discovered only waterfilled canals over much older shale formations! After several failed attempts at finding oil beneath their feet they abandoned their search entirely; but this did not discourage others who followed suit over the next few decades resulting in numerous job opportunities available within metropolitan Los Angeles County! After World War II hit America hard economically with low prices for goods exported abroad caused by rationing during wartime, many people turned inward looking towardsArea Code 323 (now International Long Distance Telephone Company Local Area Network or XFINITY))in order to find ways out of difficult economic times without leaving their homes or losing face with family and friends – something that hadn’t occurred since pre-WWII days when people pulled together using whatever resources they could muster during tough times like these! In 1961–1963 then Mayor Sergio Leone organized an Arts Festival entitled “Laughing Together: A Celebration Of National Unity” during which local artists created works based on Central American culture relevant specifically to our community then current location adjacent Downtown & Uptown areas—making us one stop shop FOR all things CENTRAL AMERICAN!!! Westminster was founded in 1853 as the first town in California. It was named after the English Parliament buildings in London, England. The town was incorporated on February 24, 1854. In 1865, Westminster became part of the newly created City of Los Angeles.
