The Cavalry Association of America was founded in 1887 in Wildomar, California. The organization grew to become the United States Army Cavalry Association. The association is a non-profit membership group that provides support and education for the cavalryman and his horse. The Cavalry Association of America has donated items to the army since 1887. Some of the most popular donations include saddles, horseshoes, Clothing, Moccasins and other gear for troop deployment as well as American flags and memorabilia from past military engagements. In recent years, the association has also contributed rifles and handguns to troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Cavalry Association of America is made up of individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving our country with its mounted unit. Their support has helped members receive training that can be used on any battlefield across America or abroad.

The Wildomar California Army National Guard has a rich history dating back to 1846. The unit was originally called the Battalion of Artillery, and is one of the oldest units in the United States Army. The battalion was organized at Fort Ord, California on November 14, 1846 and enlisted in the U.S. military on December 12th of that year. In 1850, the battalion was redesignated as Company A and moved to Camp Roberts near Sacramento. In 1856, Company A was again redesignated as Company B and activated at Angels Fire Station #2 in San Francisco Bay Area. In 1860,Company B relocated to Santa Ana around present-day Anaheim Hills Boulevard where it remained until its disbanding in 1865 due to budgetary restrictions by Congress following the Civil War. In 1865, Company B rejoined the United States Army and became known as Regiment 23rd California Infantry before being disbanded effective January 1st, 1868 at Fort Mason in Richmond District (now Chinatown). The Wildomar CA Army National Guard traces its origins back even further; it dates back to 1846 when a detachment of Californian Volunteers were sent east to join General Scott’s army duringthe Mexican-American War under command of Commodore John Cushing arriving on October 10th of that year aboard HMS 'Java'. On November 14th they disembarked at Fort Ord where they joined up with other volunteers from across Northern California under Captain Edward Purdy Isaacson who had been ordered by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to assist General Scott’s army against Mexico’s forces led by Mexican general Joaquin Murillo which had landed on August 29th off Coahuila de Guerrerostate coastline about 25 miles south east of Yuma Arizona Territory or today’s Chihuahua State Border Region between Nevada and Mexico . On December 12th 1840 Captain Isaacson's company arrived at Sutter's Mill area 2 miles SE corner of what is now Elmira Street & Sutter Street - just prior to their departure for Angel's firestation situated today on Del Norte Avenue just north/west of Wildomar High School property line extending into Fremont County approximately 8 blocks south east from junction of Elmira & Sutter Streets - now part of Golden Gate Park !! Company A stationed here until February 3rd 1861 when they left for Ft Fillmore after being relieved by Companies E & G During this time period local member Capt William Fenton served with us as Surgeon attached also later acting Colonel David Waddell Commanding 21st Infantry Regiment US Volunteers operating outa Mission District established March 4th1861 Under jurisdiction Of Doniphan Mexicans Our current location adjacent Cemetery lot lots 5/6 South East from intersection 2nd Ave NorthEast Just beyond White Sands Missile Range
Wildomar is a small town in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California, located on the banks of the Colorado River. The population was 3,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pomona-Arden-Arcade, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name Wildomar may be from Spanish meaning "wild olive." Spanish explorers discovered this area in 1769 and named it Rancho Verde de la Encina (Red Herbage Ranch), after a local wild olive tree. The rancho was patented to Francisco Xavier Serrano in 1847 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. In 1886, John Sutter opened up a land grant called Sutter's Landing which extended along both sides of the river to include what is now Wildomar and parts of other villages including Arden Hills and Claremont. This original grant covered an area that included most of present-day Wildomar as well as portions of Orinda and Riverside counties east of Interstate 5 (the old route followed by United States Route 101 today). Today much of that original grant remains within present-day Wildomar boundaries. In 1915, during World War I, General Douglas MacArthur established Camp wildOMAR on site for officers wounded or MIA in action; more than 1,500 troops were treated there during the war. In 1942 Wernher von Braun set up his rocket plant at nearby Westchester Park; many American astronauts have been born or have lived here including Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin

Wildomar is a town in Humboldt County, California, United States. The population was 1,565 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Wildomar was John Sutter, who arrived in 1847. He named his land Rancho San Carlos after King Carlos of Spain. The name probably originated with Francisco José de Borrego who founded La Paz on January 17, 1827 and called his rancho Santa Clara del Norte (later known as Rancho San Luis Potosi). In 1851, George Hearn began developing the townsite around present-day Wildomar. He built a store and home there on the site of what is now Hearn's Garage. In 1872, he sold most of his holdings to John Waddell for $5 million dollars ($ today). Waddell renamed the town Wildomar after himself and laid out a new village square on land that extended east from his original store location onto the north side of*/now Interstate 5*. The first post office at Wildomar was established in 1862; it was moved to its current location in 1865 when the railroad came through town. A school district was organized in 1870 and lasted until 1911; however, no buildings remain from that time period. The first dentist in Wildomar (and one of only two), Drs Cox & Sons opened their practice at 4209 Second Street in 1865.* As development continued to increase around town center*, wildomsarsky@gmail* started sending newsletters about local events happening near them like wine tastings or art shows etcetera which got people excited about learning more about their small town’s history! Emailing information back then wasn’t very common so I can only assume many people would have been interested even if they didn’t attend any events! Today there are numerous businesses located throughout downtownWildomar including several restaurants/cafes/bars as well as a massive library providing great access to research materials for students across all levels! Additionally, golf courses dot the landscape making it an excellent place to spend some quality time outdoors whether you're hitting balls off course or simply enjoying nature's bounty! *Note: This email account has since been discontinued
Wildomar was founded in 1848 by John Sutter and his brother, George. The town was named after the wild oaks that grew near it. It became a post office in 1850, and a dry goods store in 1855. In 1861, Wildomar had a population of seventy-six people. By 1865, it had grown to one hundred people. In 1868, Wildomar got its first school (a building still standing) and saw its first crop of crops. In 1870, the town incorporated as a city and new streets were laid out. The population increased to four hundred people by 1880. There were two newspapers published in Wildomar: The Republican from 1890-1892 and The Daily Californian from 1893-1905. In 1905, wildomaarsenumbering began which counted all farm animals within a certain radius of their homes
