The first roasters were located on Broadway Street, just east of downtown Wildomar. Over time, other businesses scattered throughout the community added their own roasting and marketing efforts to help build the name and reputation of Wildomar Coffee Company. Today, there are more than twenty-five independently owned farms servicing Wildomar with fresh roasted coffee. Each farm produces a unique flavor profile that is sometimes difficult to find anywhere else. Some of our favorite beans from these farms include: Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Guatemalan Antique Soave, Nicaraguan Criollo Arabica, Colombian Supremo Baja), Costa Rican Robusta (Tripel Blanco) and Ecuadorian Aromatico (Quirino).

In 1850, Wildomar became the first incorporated town in California. The Wildomsars ran a post office from 1852 to 1870. They also raised chickens and pigs, sold milk, eggs, and other products from their farm, and used their acreage for grazing animals. In 1872, they built a sawmill on their property which continued to be operational until it was destroyed by fire in 1938. In 1860, when California became an state of the United States, Wildomar had a population of about sixty people. By 1880 it had grown to over one hundred residents. After becoming an incorporated town in 1850, Wildomar developed into a busy agricultural center with several stores and mills along Route 66 (the main commercial thoroughfare). Many famous Californians were born or grew up here including author George Orwell and publisher Horace Liveright.
