The Windsor Air National Guard unit deployed a gift to the community in December of 2017. The unit donated a Humvee to the local fire department in order to help with donations during the holiday season.
Windsor, California is a small town located in the Kern County of Southern California. It has a population of just over 1,000 residents and is home to the University of Windsor and the Windsor Correctional Facility. The town was named after George Washington's estate in Fairfax County, Virginia. The first settlers in what would become Windsor were farmers who arrived in 1847. The town was founded on the site of what is now known as Indian School Road. The first post office opened in 1852. By 1860, there were five businesses operating in thetown: a hotel, ansaw mill, a cooper shop, and a store. The first school was built in 1865 and served grades K-12. In 1868, the first church was erected with membership totaling twelve people. In 1870, the Maytag Company moved to Windsor from Stockton and began producing ice cream for local consumption. By 1902, there were four businesses operating within the town limits: two stores (the Maytag Company Store and Sibley & Sons), a hotel (the Belle Vista House), and one bakery (Cadwallader Bros.). In 1912, Windsor started offering its own high school which graduated its first class of students that year. In 1968-1969, Windsor became home to both the United States Olympic Committee Training Centre (USOC TC) as well as Canada's High Performance Athletics Federationtraining centre for short track speed skaters under Canada Nationals conditions only There have been various renovation projects done on both facilities over time but they remain largely operational today including new offices for USOC TC; upgraded track; new gymnasium; renovated locker rooms; addition of squash courts; updated water systems; brickwork enhancements .

Windsor, California is a small town located in the Central Valley of California. The population was 1,977 at the 2010 census. Windsor has been inhabited by Native Americans for over 350 years and first appears on maps in 1843. It became a post office and railroad station in 1875. The town was named after Prince Arthur, Duke of Cornwall and York who died in 1852 while on a journey to hear rumors of goldfields in Nevada. The original source of water for Windsor came from the nearby Springerville River which emptied into the Sacramento River near present-day Dixon. As the surrounding hills were covered with scrub oak and other plant life, it took many years for water to seep down through these layers until it reached the river below. Today only a trickle of water comes out of the springs that used to provide drinking, irrigation, and power to this small community; however, this is still an important part of Windsor’s history. The first settlers arrived in what is now Windsor during the early 1800s because there was no other place to go when gold started being found near Nevada City (now Carson City). Many people left their homes due to lack of land or persecution from native peoples who wanted control over these new Territories (the area around present-day Windsor included much of today’s central valley). Some settlers built their own homes orchards or vineyards while others worked as farmhands or ranch hands on larger properties that had been leased from Indian owners. By 1840 many residents had moved away from what is now downtown because they could not find enough land to live on and build their own homes because there were no rules against selling property without consent from the previous owner. In 1851 one man decided he would try his luck mining gold at what is now called “The Gullies” where today you can find several old mines filled with all kinds of minerals including coal, silver, lead, zinc, uranium and more recently bauxite (a typeOf coal). After working some days he lost interest but kept looking because he knew someone else had tried this location before him and also got good results so he thought maybe it wasn’t as bad as everyone said it was going to be. He went back two weeks later but again found no Gold so he abandoned his claims thinking maybe someone else had taken advantage of him again – but nobody ever did! By 1870 most people living around here either worked off farms or turned to ranches doing everything from raising cattle, growing crops such as peas and beans etc., logging horses & cattle etc., building churches & schoolhouses etc.; However some families decided they would like something more permanent so they bought 160 acres southeast of town along Red Creek which lay betweenpresent-day Northridge & Lake Hughesville about 6 miles eastof present day Windsor.(Today partof Red Creek Ranch straddles both sidesofthe Main Road leading into town) Upon reaching this decision some may have expected difficulties getting credit since most farmers at this time didn’t yet have banks; however within 2 years various stores were established throughout town by men who invested money in local businesses In less than 10 years total credit availability across all levels increased 400%. Not only did merchants get access to more financing but also buyers could obtain loans without having any personal guarantee thereby increasing prices without reducing quality . Ultimately credit became available enough that developers started building cottages & housing developments starting with #1 streetside address just outside city limits . It should be noted that although many entrepreneurs started businesses downtown during this time period there was still plenty opportunity for agriculture if done correctly – especially when compared with today where almost everyone does business online/in their backyard rather then setting up shop Downtown
