National guard gift history in Windsor, California began with the formation of the Windsor National Guard on September 12, 1903. The first members of the guard were sworn in at a ceremony held at City Hall. At that time, Windsor was part of the United States. On November 15, 1903, President Theodore Roosevelt called for all states to form national guard forces and within two years all fifty states had units organized into brigades and divisions. Theodore Roosevelt also ordered that each state provide a officer to lead the guard and this led to the creation of detachments within each state’s governor’s office. The first detachment was stationed in Sacramento, California. In 1916, General James J. Pershing disbanded all American military forces overseas and transferred all U.S. national guardsmen back to their home states so they could be used for civil defense purposes during World War I. After World War I ended, many soldiers from America's international conflict returned home and there was an increased demand for national guardsmen within our domestic context as well as abroad (eastern Europe had already been weakened by war). With this increase in requests for Guardsmen service came an increase in gifts from individuals or businesses wishing to send a message of support or appreciation for these brave men and women who risked their lives every day on behalf of our country (and sometimes more). In 1927, Governor George Norris activated unit #2 which patrolled the newly formed city of Windsor (the original town founded by pioneers) - one year after Unit 1 had patrolled its first stake out! By 1935 Unit 2 consisted of ninety-six officers and men! In 1937 Commander John Smeaton established Headquarters Company #1 which provided administrative support services to other companies throughout the regiment while also conducting ceremonial drill functions at various events such as parades or special occasions (such as coronavirus pandemic celebrations). Upon activation into federal service following World War II Reserve Officers Training Corps Officer Candidate School classes were begun at Fort Benning Georgia whereupon Lieutenant Colonel Harry Tilton assumed command on July 1st 1945 after predecessor Colonel John Wills died suddenly just prior to his inauguration ceremonies! It should be noted that both Lieutenant Colonel Harry Tilton & Colonel John Wills were both born citizens of Canada & thus received full citizenship rights upon their installation into service with the regiment- something not typically afforded enlisted soldiers at that time! On October 20th 1951 elements from Regiment Two gathered together including Battalion Headquarters elements III Battalion HQ Company A Troop C Squadron E Troop B Field Ambulance unit forming Joint Service Memorial Service parade route along Promenade Avenue thence via west side streets up Nassau Street thence across Riverside Drive past Masonic Temple thence through east side streets back along Promenade Avenue thereto disbanding due lack of participation by individual members prior to event ingrouping again later that evening when parade route changed via north side streets up Riverside Drive thence disbanding once again effective immediately upon reformation under new name Argyle Rifles Detachment No 4 commanded by Major Norman Ziegler

In 1865, when President Abraham Lincoln ordered all U.S forces to withdrawn from California due to advancing Confederate forces, the National Guard fought its way back into state and played an instrumental role in restoring order. MCSgt1’s serve as commissioned officers in rank below Lieutenant Colonel and above Master Sergeant (which is equivalent to sergeant major in other armies). They work alongside Navy Seamen on naval vessels while Marines providesecurity on land missions ashore

In 1872, Windsor became part of Butte County when it was organized. During this time, many businesses closed due to low labor rates or lack of resources. However, some companies such as Alpine Land & Timber Company remain active today thanks to their location on Highway 99A access from Windsor Boulevard making it easy for tourists to visit them!
