When the first coffee was roasted in Woodland, California in 1912, it was a very different experience than what we have today. At that time, coffee beans were ground into small doses and then placed into small pottery vessels called "cups." The cup itself would be filled with water and heated up before being used to brewing coffee. The first coffee shop in Woodland was opened by Mr. Fenton at 329 Sutter Street in 1912. He served two-buck coffee until 1916 when he moved to 205 W Main Street and started selling three-dollar cups of Java. In 1918, Mr. Fenton's son, Harry Fenton reopened the store on his father's behalf with a much bigger roasting plant and began serving cappuccinos and lattes for $1 per cup instead of two dollars. In 1925, Don & Lois Vaught opened the first grocery store in town and soon began serving pre-packaged coffee made from local beans as well as their own blend of Java and espresso beverages. By 1928, they had joined forces with their brother Phil & Shirley Vaught to open the only restaurant in town - The Coffee House - which still serves its namesake specialty today: Cold Brew Coffee (served hot or cold). That same year also saw the opening of the first drive-through window for Lookout Coffee down on Hwy 99 about one mile east of town - giving locals an easy way to get their caffeine fix without having to leave their car! Mr. & Mrs. Kapp founded The Kapp family bakery on College Avenue in 1930 after purchasing a small but successful bakery near downtown Oakland that had been run by their parents since 1892! They continued baking fresh pastries daily until 1955 when they sold the business to Bob Dole Sr., who operated it until his death in 1993! After Bob Dole Jr.'s death, Mrs. Dole continued running The Kapp Family Bakery until her retirement in 2003; during her tenure she produced over 1 million bagels, donuts, pies etc... throughout Woodland County!

Woodland, California is a small town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 1,597 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Bernardino Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name means "forested uplands". The community was founded by George C. Wood on November 3, 1887 as a small farming village on the east side of Rancho Seco near what is now Jurupa Valley. With its location beside Antelope Valley and its rich soils and Miocene glaciation (circa 14,000 years ago), the village prospered for many years until oil discoveries in Kern County made it an important center for production in the early days of Kern oil Country. In 1959, when ChevronTexaco merged with Texaco Inc., Woodland became one of Chevron's major production sites in southern California. In 1990-1991, following divestiture of Texaco's non-oil businesses by then-President Ronald Reagan's administration, local officials decided to mothball most of their industries except agriculture and tourism because they felt that these would be more quickly replaced by technologies such as electronic aluminum smelting and advanced plastics manufacturing which were then starting to take off nationally. However some light industry continued to operate such as a paper mill until 2000 when it closed due to high costs associated with updating its technology; also during this time much single family housing was erected around central business district facilities which continue to dominate today’s landscape despite efforts over the last few decades by residents to move away from clustered development opportunities within easy blocks proximate to commercial areas." The community has seen various incarnations since its founding: first as a tiny Rural Telegraph office before becoming an agricultural center during World War II; later changing hands several times before being purchased by Calpine Semiconductor Corporation in 1979; finally becoming core business territory for Philips Electronics Company until it sold its assets back to Calpine in 2003 just prior to bankruptcy filings that year. In 2006–2007 Pershing Square Properties LLC through their subsidiary Northridge Village Association purchased all but 60 acres surrounding downtown from ChevronTexaco Ventures LLC who had developed it primarily for residential purposes with plans for mixed use including retail/office space etc.; however Pershing Square never took possession of any land inside the city limits which created logistical challenges about developing even an urban setting without actually having any buildings or residents within city walls - something that has been attempted unsuccessfully ever since; Since 2007 there have been multiple proposals floated around Woodland involving turning it into one large mixed use project anchored around Downtown - either through annexation or some other form of land purchase/development agreement - but no definitive plan has emerged yet that would make sense financially or strategically given both its current size (less than 2 square miles) and lack of infrastructure really outside the Downtown area itself

This was an early attempt at starting a coffee trade and became the largest café in the world. 2) Coffee accounts were first published in 1796 and gave people a way to track where their caffeine came from. 3) In 1825, Englishman John Scheer started roasting beans himself and began selling his beans all over Europe. This led to the birth of European roasted coffee culture. 4) In 1846, Dutchman Diederik van Rheede started making small batches of high quality espresso for cafes around Rotterdam. This allowed him to become one of the earliest Starbucks customers. 5) Swiss entrepreneur Julius Nyerere founded Kenya Coffee Company in 1961 with help from American businessman David Rockefeller (later part owner of Starbucks). This helped start what is now known as African coffeespecialties within the industry.

For over 100 years, Woodland has been a part of Northern California. The town was founded by citizens of Stockton, California in 1874 as a small community on the edge of the San Joaquin Valley. In 1906, Woodland became a city and soon became known for its beautiful natural surroundings and unique culture. Today, Woodland is home to many interesting organizations, including the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the University of California at Davis. It also retains its nickname of "The Garden City," thanks to its wide variety of green space and rich history.
The first Europeans to explore and map the area that is now Woodland were Spanish scouts in 1769. In 1821, Mexican land grants were given to John Sutter and his brother-in-law, George C. Bancroft, who named their new land Rancho California. The Bancrofts continued to farm in the area until 1863 when they sold the rancho to American citizens for $5,000. The land was then divided into two parts by the Santa Clara River, with part going to Stanford University while the other part went to local farmers. In 1865, a small community of settlers called "Woodland" started up around what is now North Park Avenue in Palo Alto. In 1868, a group of men from San Francisco founded Stanford University on some of this same land as well. The university became one of America's most powerful institutions and continues to grow today. One of Woodland's most famous residents was Calumet County Sheriff James Wickersham who served from 1850-1872. During his time as sheriff, Wickersham helped lead several rebellions against Mexican rule in Alta California including the Milk War which ended with Mexico ceding control over California's dairy industry to Anglo Americans under Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
